gardenia

These were inspired by these Gardenia’s (I think) I found online. I don’t know who the original artist  is. (And I hate not giving credit, so if anyone know who this lovely print belongs to, please contact me so I can give proper credit.) They are hand painted and I loved the way they turned out especially considering that I haven’t been able to paint a lot lately due to Gracie needing every minute I have.

UPDATE: Original artist found! Martha Negley inspired these nails with her beautiful floral print. Thank you so much for helping me with finding her Sophiealdred. I couldn’t have found her without your help!

A little peek into our crazyfun night last night getting Lea ready for #amfAR honoring #TomFord 👠💄💅💇. Her red carpet prep included @hopegillerman #TravelRemedy rolled up the back of legs and on bottoms of feet. @oneloveorganics #gardenia body serum massaged into arms and legs. (Her legs are insane firm from all that hiking!) Can’t forget @odacite Rose & Neroli mist spritzed on toes and palms to refresh the skin and air. I was able to use my brand spankin new #jennahipp nail polish remover pads (launching soon in Costco!) and paint nails w/ a new nude I’m working on for @beautysmostwanted. Love being a be a part of the #leamichele #glamfam!! ❤️

Sticker

soft buttery petals
enticing me to touch, inviting
my fingers graze the surface
envious of her silk garment,
I stop myself from plucking this perfect posy,
creamy, comforting, cajoling me with class,
nothing about her is ostentatious
space between blossoms provides a lasting impression,
she curves, more subtle than a rose
astonished,
refined
left wanting more from my femininity,
her fragility challenges all that is coarse in me,
the calmness of childhood,
rediscovered in the cup of my hand
home again with myself, vulnerable
I am changed by the grace of,
Gardenia
