freelee the banana girl

Anyone here support Freelee and Durianrider? These are screen shots from his Instagram. Posting videos and photos of unsuspecting people and mocking them. This is disgusting and is actually illegal. How can people defend this behaviour? How can people say this is a good way to spread the vegan message? They are a disgrace to the vegan community, and do not deserve support and respect. These two literally earn money from shaming people and it needs to stop.

Freelee the eating disorder girl...

Freelee the Banana girl needs to get her head out of her ass and realize that with her extreme ways, she’s driving girls, young & old, into eating disorders. Orthorexia, which is an eating disorder where you are obsessed with eating only healthy foods, can be caused by extreme diets like raw till four. Freelee always eats “pure”, and is adamant on telling people to follow her lifestyle to a T, and that without exactly following the food recommendations she has, results can’t be expected.

A year ago I discovered her lifestyle, and I was really into it. Eventually, I became so obsessed with eating high carb and clean that it ruined several of my outings, vacations etc. I always ate the same things, and eventually I started having anxiety for not eating like 8 bananas every morning. I literally forced a giant smoothie down my mouth every morning, even though I didn’t enjoy having so much as 8-10 bananas, but freelee said I had to eat a shitload of fruit, so I did. Honestly, if I didn’t realize I was falling into yet another eating disorder it would be too late by now.

Luckily I stopped listening to her, and instead I made my own lifestyle, with foods that I enjoy and normal amounts of food. Without limiting myself to eating 80% carbs 10% protein 10% fat.

Make your own lifestyle, do your own research, be informed, but ultimately make your own lifestyle. I still eat vegan, just not raw till 4!

Bananas contain three natural sugars – sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world’s leading athletes. But energy isn’t the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier. PMS: Forget the pills – eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.

This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit’s ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

200 students at a Twickenham school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.. Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Many other cultures see bananas as a ‘cooling’ fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature. So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has FOUR TIMES the protein, TWICE the carbohydrate, THREE TIMES the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, ‘A BANANA a day keeps the doctor away!’

anonymous asked:

What do you have against freelea???

oh GOD okay

  • She thinks that going vegan/raw vegan can cure almost any illness or disease that you have (INCLUDING EATING DISORDERS WHICH IS BULLSHIT)
  • She gives out nutrition information like she’s a doctor
  • She takes other youtubers videos and uploads them then bashes them to get views
  • She uploaded a video shortly after Talia Joy died literally saying that going raw vegan could have saved this little girls life which is extremely fucking disrespectful and you can watch the video » here «
  • Basically anyone who disagrees with her on anything is wrong and bad
  • She made a video saying anyone can get a thigh gap if you eat raw vegan
  • Talked about how losing her period was a good thing on a raw food diet
  • Body shames anyone who doesn’t look like her and isn’t on a vegan diet
  • refuses to accept the fact that veganism isn’t for everyone

i’m sure there’s more but those are the main ones that come to mind

i actually have no problem with what she’s promoting because i do believe the vegan diet can be very beneficial to some people, but personality wise, she sucks.

Freelee the Banana Girl  is not a good person. She has no right to speak on  other peoples’ bodies OR their health. Being fat does not always mean you are unhealthy. She constantly comments on Trisha Paytas'videos and tells her that what she is eating is not healthy for her and tells her the reasons she is gaining weight. And then when people go off on her about it she claims she is just trying to “help.” She’s “motivating” people into losing weight by making them feel bad about them selves.

It’s perfectly okay to promote a healthy lifestyle but if somebody doesn’t want to live that way then don’t push it on them.

sanakitten asked:

I'm neutral about FL and DR what specific things about them do you dislike?

Geeze, where do I start?

Freelee makes videos about people who have put on weight, saying everyone can have a thigh gap and also that she has not gotten her period in years. She is meant to be promoting health, but there is nothing healthy about that. And it definitely is not a good way to promote veganism. They both look at anyone who doesn’t have the same bodies or lifestyle as they do in disgust. They think that just because Freelee used to be overweight that gives them a free pass to mock and talk however they want about peoples weight. I remember watching a video where Freelee said very aggressively that if a fat person gets in the way and blocks the entrance, they make their weight her business. Durianrider likes to take photos of random people in the street and then mock them about their posture, weight and what they are buying in supermarkets. He does this publicly on the internet. They both don’t seem to understand that not everyone can and will look like they do. They do not understand that everyone’s bodies function differently. They do not understand that people can be healthy and be all different body types and weight. They do not understand that what may work for them might not work for others. When someone comes to them saying Freelee’s diet is not giving them positive results, they take it as criticism. They call people liars, accuse them of cheating and block them instead of helping, like they are supposed to do. Durianrider also likes to mock people with eating disorders and says that it is just an excuse. They absolutely can not handle criticism, blocking anyone that dares to challenge them. They both promote unhealthy behavior and are terrible vegan advocates. Those two are sickening, fatphobic, body shaming, narcissistic bigots who are so far up their own assholes I’m surprised they are able to function.

Anyone else please feel free to add to this!

Make sure you are always true to YOU. Your character is what is important, not your reputation. Your reputation is who people THINK you are, your character is who you REALLY are. Use these life experiences as tools of self development because that’s what they really are.
—  Freelee the Banana Girl

Well I’m actually not a preachy vegan whatsoever… but I really liked this video. Seriously! Reasons to go vegan and reasons to stop bashing vegans

I’m having a good night because Durian Rider is getting completely shut down by local vegans and is getting no support and it’s just wonderful. He doesn’t know what to say so he is saying that he is disgusted in everyone’s behaviour and literally making up lies about people so that he doesn’t look so bad HAHA.

What I Ate Today - High Carb Vegan

I’ve lost 40lbs & gained muscle on a high carb vegan lifestyle eating as much as I care for

I’ve been getting so many request for more What I Ate Videos, so here is a new one for you guys! Hope you enjoy :) #restrictionissolastdecade

So who’s been keeping up on this drama?

For those who haven’t, Freelee the banana girl and Harley (durianrider on YouTube) made a ton of videos about Kayla Itsines, popular fitness blogger and creator of the Bikini Body Guide, basically saying that her guide is crap and terrible. So then Kayla decided to sue Freelee and Harley for slander. Which of course resulted in the two banana-heads to make even more videos flipping out, saying that Kayla’s suing them to shut them up because she knows they’re right.

I’m just surprised this hasn’t happened before now. Every other video of Freelee’s is basically just her ranting in a crop top about how X fitness blogger is terrible and promoting eating disorders - because they recommend reducing calories to lose weight.

Can you imagine if these two were actually sent to jail? Locked up all alone without a slobbering audience to feed their self-absorption and delusions of grandeur - they’d lose it.
