Bergen, Norway

The view of Bergen and Byfjorden from atop Fløyen, a mountain which is accessible by going up the Fløibanen, a 100 year old funicular. A funicular is an interesting old school transportation method. Essentially, a cable car reaches the top of the mountain from the momentum of a second cable car going down the mountain at the same time, connected to each another. They act to counterbalance one another and move in unison.
