Usually I go for “20s inspired” makeup, but tonight I actually tried for historically accurate. Did smudgier eyes, a more pronounced cupid’s bow, and I extended my eyebrows downwards. Overall I’m pleased with how it turned out! I’ll have to try it more often.

I’ve been sitting on these since winter, although I’m not sure exactly why.  I still think about doing a playing card deck someday and started working up some face card designs when I had a little time off over the holidays.  I couldn’t settle on a standardized backdrop, so I began tailoring them to each character instead.

If I were to do a Kickstarter campaign for something like this sometime, would anyone be interested, or not so much?

Was reading through a whole set of the Afro American newspaper, just to see if i could find any photos or information of Baby Esther… but no luck.   Although i came across another African American woman by the name of Gertrude Saunders who claims that she is the original “Boop-Boop-a-Doop" Girl in 1934.  What was i doing before-hand?  Well i was trying to find more information on Little Ann Little… which i also failed upon, i found a little info here and there… little tid-bits.
