I did some research and the McDonald's fries here in the states are not vegan friendly. Are you sure they are vegan friendly in your part of the world?

yes they are vegan in the uk, i’m very sure of that :)

you can get info here. it’s mainly about the patties but it also states "(Our French Fries, which have been approved by the Vegetarian Society, are cooked using different equipment and are entirely segregated from the other products.)"

the ingredients are :

Fries :

Potatoes, Vegetable Oil (Sunflower, Rapeseed), Dextrose (only added at beginning of season). Prepared in the restaurants using a non-hydrogenated vegetable oil. Salt is added after cooking.

It bums me out to hear that your family is supportive of your desire to go vegan. As long as you eat a healthy, balanced diet you will thrive as a vegan! I have been vegan for 6 years now and feel better and better. I am currently working out 5-6 days a week, three of those with a trainer and I am kicking ass! Don't let them get you down. If you really want to go vegan, than stick to your guns and follow your heart. Good luck and keep your chin up. :)

Thank you so much! I really am determined to go Vegan, and I will stick with it. I think it’s going to be a lot easier for me once I leave home and go back to school because I’ll be able to buy my own groceries, and cook my own yummy food :) And I plan on going back to my college’s gym once I get back to my apartment. It sucks that I can’t eat right/workout when I’m home, it’s like I’m made fun of or something! But once I get back to school, I’ll get back on track, and I know I’ll be healthy and happy :) Thanks so much for your support!
