Peplum is over, as we say goodbye to the Season.

HOLLA!

Miss me? Yes! been MIA not just in blogging but everywhere. If you are with me during my darkest days, you know what i mean, and if you are not with me, i thank God, for you skipping the pain*wink*. 2013 is trying to impress me by all it’s surreal aims, but i say no stopping from surviving! Go lang ng go!:)) And! before i create a paragraph of rant and unpleasant vibes, let’s start now with my overdue outfit post haha!

Here’s WHAT I WORE a month ago at work:

image

image

And since i seemed to be still glued in 2012, this Peplum outfit is so yesterday din, haha! Forgive my please? yes? Yes!:)

Per some trusty fashion sites, 2013 is not a Peplum trend, but i must admit, i am still in love with them! Sad. And honestly, i still have pending peplum outfits to post hehe! Well i guess, better to save pictures wearing them, for some good memories right?:p

image

image

If my memory would serve me right, this was the last Friday of December, i opted to wear something i could wear proper for the office and could last me till a movie date at night:D

image

image

The place is lovely isn’t it? How i wish i was forever captured in this unalarming place (ehem, sumesegwey nanaman, pagbigyan na:p) HAHA!

image

Thanks MARK for this pretty bag<3 ;;)

image

And, you know me, i have a thing in laces*wink*

image

Don’t you just love the trees at my back? Only after seeing these photos, i then realized how really stunning Salcedo Park is!

Now with the blazer:

Special credits to my ever supportive and kikay officemate/friend karlyn for these look shots:) Loveyou!

Dress for Less.

When it comes to shopping and getting clothes, it’s always a challenge for me not to spend much but still get the best-est and the most fashionable pieces i could get. There’s a thrilling and great feeling whenever i shopped for certain clothes for less  yet got nice comments from my friends about them. Again, i guess knowing your personal style would always do the trick*wink*

Anyhoooo, here’s WHAT I WORE to a dinner with officemates:

image

image

I got my top (150php) and skirt (100php) from every shoppers haven- DIVISORIA!!, can you imagine how you can see almost same pieces from online shops and mall stores yet all you have to do (if you have time ofcourse), is to push pa! Haha! Hanap-hanap, kung ang peg ay mura!:p

image

image

What i love about finding affordable buys, is the challenge not to make them look cheap when worn. I love what i came up with, because it’s classy, office proper yet chic and stylish, and very ME!:P

image

image

The top is very flattery and effortless sophisticated so pairing it with a peplum skirt  gave an extra impact to the outfit as a whole.

Peaky Friday

Quick late outfit post:D

For many, Friday the 13th is said to be a bad day which may bring bad luck in all it’s forms. I personally do not believe in this. Bad things happen to those who let them into the day. Well, it’s a Peaky Friday (hence, blog title) for me, but that’s because of the changing weather and tiredness.

Anyhooo! Here’s What I Wore:

ON ME: Blazer: Thrifted, Pink top: Robinsons Dept. Store, Skater Skirt: Megatrade hall, Festival Mall, Shoes: Nava

Happy Tuesday lovies!:)

Sunnies Season

With the very unusual coldness experienced in Manila last January, it’s surprising how the almost freezing weather went by just overnight. It was this day when i was reminded that summer season is just about to arrive, too quickly. Scorching hot! Summer means Sunnies season! Don’t you think? I’m excited but not quite, still embracing the winter feeling in Manila haha! Imagine having 16-18 degrees? For a tropical country like the Philippines, it’s chilling already!:P

Anyway, here’s What I Wore on day full of errands with a friend:

image

image

image

Being aware of the weather, I opted to wear something really comfy and in light fabrics, hence this top. Chiffon is the best one for this season, I must say. Never fails.:)

image

image

image

They say, if you have it, flaunt it! I have an obviously lacking chest area (but I’m not complaining,:P), I’m equally happy to have curves and shape which I consider an asset to flaunt. Hihi! :)

image

image

image

If you have been on my blog for ages, you’ll notice that I rarely wear pants. I’m the skirt and shorts girl. I always think that wearing pants, aside from I am too often not comfortable wearing it, I always think it’s not outfit post worthy. I know, I know, lame idea here don’t worry I’m trying to explore endless possibilities this 2014, so I’ll try new things like, pulling off outfits like this:D

image

image

image

Get your sunnies, bikinis and summer clothes ready! Summer is hereeeeee! Btw, What do you think about this outfit? Thoughts?:)

5 Little Things That Made Me Happy Today

Considering the way the world is, one happy thought can change everything in a brighter view.

Here are the 5 Little Things That Made Me Happy Today:

image

1.) It’s freaking WEEKEND!

We’ve been waiting all week for the weekend. Saturdays and Sundays seem to have been heaven’s gift after a long week of work. And though, I’m a bum lady currently, waking up knowing it’s Saturday still gives me an instant. “It’s gonna be a wonderful day” spirit!:)

image

2.) Beautiful Hair Day

We girls, we know that. One bad hair day can ruin the rest of the day. Our crown glory is our everything. Today, I’m so happy that my hair isn’t stubborn and is easy to style. Ready to go ohhh-ohhh Sabadooooo!:))

image

3.) Muning (my pet cat), is extra sweet today.

He’s always been the snob one, the playful one and so moody. This morning, he kissed me good morning and he would sit beside me looking so clingy. Hihi! I love him!:)❤️

image

4.) I cooked Spicy Gambas!

I’m no cook nor chef, but growing up with Papa, who’s love for cooking and experimenting dishes is extreme, I’m always interested in it. So today, I decided to try cooking one of my favorite - The Spicy Gambas!:P And hey! It’s edible okay? Hihi! Felt so good!:))

image

5.) Selfie Series

LOL! I took these photos last night. (Together with all other selfie series HAHA!✌️:p). Well, this one’s silly I know, but it’s been a while since I last took a selfie cause I feel ugly for the last weeks and I don’t have the energy to do so. So for all kinds of goodness last night, I felt like taking one. (onessss:P) Well, for some, selfies are crazy, annoying, and nonsense act maybe, but I must say, it’s also manifestation of how you love yourself. No wonder I see selfies everywhere, and I admire them for having the confidence and for loving themselves:)

Let’s make this a habit. Find something good and beautiful each day to remind us how truly wonderful life is!:) Happy Saturday Lovies!:)

What to Wear: Music Festival

If you follow my blog for ages, you’d know that the month of May is always saved for The Philippine Fashion Week. And i still can’t believe i ditched fashion event for something unusual to me - MUSIC FESTIVAL! T’was fun though!, i loved it!<3

Yes, as mentioned above this was taken last May, super late post but this set is too cool to pass on!:)

So okay, on to my post:

image

Ever wonder what to wear when attending Music Festival? Maybe this post will help you:).

image

image

Since events like this will surely be jam-packed and aggressive, be sure to wear your comfiest clothes! I personally consider the weather first when going out, then next to consider is the venue.

image

Cropped tops, sleeveless, racer-back tops, and cute bottoms will always be in, and since most music events happen on open field, expect it to be really hot so wearing jackets is a NO, NO!*wink*

image

You might be jumping to enjoyment and thrill, so never wear high heels. Sneakers, rocker flats, or anything light and comfy is ideal!:)

image

image

it’s up to you if you’ll go edgy and rocker chic, as for me, i opted to still wear my style and that is- the feminine, classy, sweet but tough, so i included something interesting and sharp, hence these accessories.

image

image

But, whatever you decide on wearing, make sure your personal style is still in there. Remember: Nobody can take away personal way of dressing up!*wink* <3

image

Yeah, i know i look chubby in the last photo HAHAHA!;P

ON ME: Cropped top: GH, Shorts: SupersaleBazaar, Shoes; Solemate, Shades: Sunnies by Charlie, Watch: ALDO, Bracelet & ring: Divisoria

Tokyo Disneyland

For every one of us, who have been missing out a lot of happy things and simple joys because of growing up, it’s always nice to go back to our kiddo days, once in a while. To play, jump, laugh, giggle, shout and be nothing but HAPPY. (Day 2).

Here’s WHAT I WORE to Tokyo Disneyland-  Where dreams come true..

image

image

image

image

image

image

Since i’ll be in the happiest place on earth, i opted to wear a happy outfit and here’s what i came up with.:)

image

image

After seeing the photos, it looks like that i am wearing a Minnie Mouse outfit, i don’t know, or is it just me? lol! The colors combined reminds me of the iconic character.:p

image

image

Good thing i did a lot of layering that day, as the coldness in Tokyo seemed to be at it’s best, specially in Disneyland itself.

image

image

And you know me, i always have a thing for ribbons, since i forgot to bring my Mickey Mouse headband, which is best to wear whenever you are to visit Disney, i opted to just pull this cute pony to still create a happy and kiddo vibe:D

image

image

i intended to wear a very comfy footwear  hence, this kicks, because a lot of walking,is waiting for us,

image

Credits to my travel buddy Jaja for taking my look shots:)

image

ON ME: Coat: Thrift store, Pink top: Pepz Online, Skirt: Landmark, Shoes: SM department store, Stockings & socks: Darlington, Bag: GH„ Random ribbon pony

It’s not how much we have, but how much we enjoy that makes happiness- Charles Spurgeon.

The Hippie Band

Color plays a big part in one outfit. It gives life and death to a look. For gloomy days like this, i prefer to wear a very loud and colorful ensemble to somehow brighten up and pull some good vibes over. It’s goodbye 2012, so i am not gonna welcome any negative elements for the year 2013! Let’s all celebrate what this year has to offer! CHEERS TO 2013!

Back to work though, so before it totally take my time away, here’s an outfit post:

5 Things You Need to Let Go to Be Happy
While we all have individual goals in life, one thing for sure is the common ground, that is- To be happy and to find true happiness! Easy as is may sound, we all know it’s not.

Previous weeks were a roller coster ride for me, when I stopped and breathe I realized few things. Take a look at some of the things I realized we need to let go to find happiness:

(Here too, is an equally happy outfit post for you!:p):

image

image

1. WORRY

If we spend our time with worries over what might happen tomorrow, we have no today to live for. Sometimes we over-think. We worry about things that never truly exist at all and before we know it, a day is over and it’s wasted. So live up for the present!:)

image

image

image

2. DOUBT/FEAR

Mostly these are opinions that interfere with decision making. Fear of being not good enough. When uncertainty stepped in, you are actually blocking the way to happiness. Feel free to do what you want, life isn’t perfect it’s okay to make mistakes, stop doubting and let go of your fears, remember, if today you failed, there’s always another day to try again.

image

image

3. ANGER

This, I must say, is one of the strongest negative feeling from within. It kills you from the inside. It destroys you without you knowing. I know it’s hard to forgive someone who have wronged you, specially when apology is never stated, but remember, whoever caused you anger controls you. So, “Learn to accept an apology you never really got.” Smile back at them, make peace and let go. Life becomes easier then.

image

image

image

4. APPROVAL

Too often we live our lives seeking for other people’s approval. I guess, it’s human nature. Afraid of the feeling of rejection. Who wants it’s right? The key is, do not mind them. After all, you’ll go home with only yourself, so let your star shine brightly for yourself and for the people who appreciates you. Imagine how much you can achieve if you stop them dictate your life.

image

image

image

5. EXPECTATIONS

As much as we want to receive something from what we are capable of giving, it’s not like that. It sounds perfect if it is, and life isn’t perfect that’s the sad truth. You need to manage expectations so you can be free from disappointments. Do not torture yourself waiting for an equally nice feeling after doing something extravagant for others. While it’s okay to hope, train your body and mind and heart to experience every little thing with an open perspective.

We. Are. Going. To. Be. Happy. Are we?:) How’s Sunday so far?:)

The Best Thing to do When it's Raining, is to Let it Rain

Hi Lovies!

Hope all is well.

I’m praying for everyone’s safety today. Work has been suspended only after i reached office so I’m currently stranded here. It’s not unusual for me to battle the rain going to work, so no problem. In fact, Iove rain. I just love rain, that I enjoyed braving it. Hah! Call me weird or whatsoever but yeah, I just do. I know today is not just rain but typhoon levels already, and while I’m lovin’ the sensation, I’m hoping everyone’s safe and dry.

No, this look set was not taken today! Hahaha!

image

So if you have been on my blog since atleast last week, you would know what I have been through. Well to sum it up, I had a serious allergy and it damaged a large portion of my skin that I had to cover up! All overrrr! Yeah, frustrating. And. Depressing.

Like, I cannot wear clothes i wanna wear, I had to raid my closet and look for longsleeves and pants (which I rarely pull off), etc. etc. It’s so devastating everytime I look at them;(( Aside from these, I have some personal and emotional issues I’m dealing about myself and the world. And for nth time I feel irrelevant to the universe again;(

..but after some time, after days and weeks of feeling so hollow, I finally get it. It’s all about FAITH and PROPER MINDSET. It’s all about positive disposition in life. So i took the connotation of “rain” and I was thinking this is the best time to prove myself - “I love rain, no matter what”.

And yeah, The best thing to do when it’s raining, is to let it rain!”

image

I told myself though I’m experiencing this shitty situation about my skin, I shouldn’t forget that I love dressing up! That it’s something that I love doing. That I’m Happy doing. I’m always the skirt-shorts girl, and again, I rarely wear pants! But this is “challenged accepted!” Time to try new things and new style or fun style! So… I’m taking advantage of the weather and the season! Yay!

image

So wakey! wakey! Upper east siders! Here’s the Blair in me! (pagbigyan.. Hahaha!)

image

I so love this dress, because it’s ribbon, raffles, and sweet pink in one! Sweet disposition!❤️🎀💗

image

image

image

image

image

Since we are living in a tropical country, so seldom we can wear outfits like this, so I’m taking advantage of the weather and using this as a lighter and positive excuse (legit excuse) to my allergies.;)

image

image

image

image

image

Let’s just dance with the rain, embrace it until it’s over. Shall we?:)

image

Be safe and dry everyone! Sending some love to all of youuuuu!:))

Let it Snow

#BucketList!: SNOW

Who would refuse for the chance to see a SNOW? Ever since I was a little girl, I’m dreaming to see a snow, so can you imagine how happy and giddy I was when I experienced it pouring on my face? Aaaahhhhhhh! HAPPINESSSSSSS!!!!!!!

I went last holiday Dec28-30 to Japan for a snow experience, and though i wasn’t able to step on a land of snow where everything’s white and breezy (because winter/snow season in Japan is usually end of January to first week of February), I am still thankful and blessed to have witnessed a snow shower when I was there. It was my first time, I was on cloud nine:D!!! Hahaha!

image

So here’s WIW on my first day:

image

The weather was extremely cold. It was 3 degrees then, if my memory would serve me right. Brrrr! No matter how prepared I think I was for this anticipated coldness, still I’m lacking some layers on! With this tiny tiny body with my tiny tiny bones, still sooo freezing cold!

image

image

image

image

image

image

image

image

image

I know it’s not so visible but can you see the snow shower?:D I want moreeee!:)))

In travel, there’s always always some mini realizations I have with me after the day. On this day, I realized that when you want it badly, more than all the premises and possibilities, you also need to wrap it up with a strong prayer. Geez! As I’ve mentioned above, snow in Japan is usually last week of January to early February, meaning, it’s not supposed to snow yet, or if so, to some very rare and selected areas only, but it did when I was there right around our hotel, yea, of all places yayayayay! So prayers do work talaga!

WHAT I WORE: Hat: Terranova, Coat & Booties: Thrift shop, Dress: Market! Market!, Gloves, Asakusa

BIRTHDAY BLUES

It’s November and my birthday’s coming up in few days. I don’t feel good and excited about it anymore. I’m feeling resigned. I have no plans on that day (since japan trip was moved) or maybe not one wants to celebrate it with me?, or it’s just that, it’s not a special day at all? Or maybe I’m just having this “Birthday Blues” thingy? where people tend to rethink and reassess their lives over the past years? I’m not sure.:/ It’s second to the last month of the year, the past months were really tough for me (but I decided not to put details about them here,as this is a “BV free zone” blog). I’m in the middle of nowhere, waiting for someone to save me (but I know it happens only in fairy tales, in movies and some romantic novels) from despair, waiting for some overdue prayers to be heard, waiting for a complete turnaround, waiting forever.. Arrghhh! Sorry for being sentimental, and before I create another paragraph of sentiments, okaaayy, inhale, exhale -here’s an equally related outfit post.

An overall blue look- WHAT I WORE to PFW day 4:

image

image

image

for the record, blue isn’t my favorite color, but when it comes to clothes, i think this suits me more and i find it really classy and flattering so i love wearing it.:)

image

this is a last minute outfit change, i am scheduled to attend a show the day before and it’s at night, and since Saturday show invite is in the afternoon, i knew it has to be something proper for day time. Something fresh and bold, hence for me, this outfit.

image

image

image

image

image

i couldn’t think of something to wear, so i had to choose from whatever is available from my closet, but one thing is certain, i so wanted to give this heels a spin once again, it’s been a while. :D So i started from there. Remember: One key is to start from one element of dressing, it’s either- the color, the theme, or one item. As for this look, it’s the item:)

image

image

image

I tried to keep it simple and minimal to emphasize the overall blue ensemble.:)

TOKYO FASHION

Since it’s “Throwback Thursday” today, i’ll grab this opportunity to blog about my outfit in Japan months ago. Teehee! Thank goodness for this TBT thingy, i have a valid excuse for this entry hihihi:p

On to my post:

In my  impression, Japanese are really fashionable and trendy people and Tokyo has been one of the many countries so advance in fashion, so when i get to visit Tokyo last March, this impression came to be proven. They are effortless good in dressing up.

We went to Ginza District (Tokyo’s Shopping Center) and it was pretty cold, i was actually wearing a furr on top of this outfit which i blogged here, but i find this ensemble worth a separate entry hehe, don’t you think?

image

image

One can never go wrong with a little black dress. It’s classy and sophisticated, easy to style and versatile.

image

If you would notice, these are mostly in the shade of black so to equate everything, i wore a colorful necklace*wink*

image

image

I am so happy with how the photos turned out to be, i guess it’s the natural coldness of  the place that made the ambiance looked snowy? (though it’s really not), or is it just me? hihihi!

image

image

this happens to be my favorite outfit from all my Japan ootds hehe!  Black really, is already a striking statement without overdoing it.

image

image

image

I hope to finish pending Japan outfit posts for the coming days, as i am, for all heaven goodness, will be travelling back to JP again, and that’s too soon. WOOOPPEE! Can you imagine how excited i am?:D

Happy Hour

I was never the party girl, if you see me in bars or in party outfit, usually it’s for event purposes i used to attend before, when i had the time. Sometimes it’s for a birthday celebration (still the reason mostly), but not too much on dancing and partying, but just recently, and, hmmm, to my surprise! I find it enjoying to go on dancing and singing. I’m not saying i am a turned party girl, maybe i am more focused in having fun now! Yay!

That being said, here’s my outfit:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Blogging on the first page of 2013 is such a blessing, the year is too early as now, to test my faith and strength though, but i am sure i can make it! Send me some love guys!:)) I hope everyone’s having a blast in this first day of the year.

Anyhooo, here’s WHAT I WORE, to a holiday duty last 31Dec2012.:

I am someone too engaged with polka dots, so in time for the season, i wore a polka ensemble to work. As for Filipinos, polka dots is part of the year-end tradition, wearing one would bring more money for the coming year!:)

Peplum Bloom - 12.21.12

HOLLA! Who says it’s End of the World? With this special season we have here in the Philippines and the rest the world, i guess it’s only the year that is about to end!*wink* It’s the great season of endless sale, shopping, parties, get together, the season of sharing and loving, etc! So it’s no deny, it’s not the end of the world yet! Hence, this is what i wore to work last December 21, 2012, the said date when everything’s going to crash!

On to my outfit:

image

It was for me the opposite of the end of the world thingy, for some reason i just felt more alive and surviving that day, so i opted wear something refereshing, happy and blooming.

image

image

image

image

I took advantage of my lunch break and a really good company from one of my colleagues to take my look shots at Salcedo Park, and FINALLY! Got the chance to take photos along the street- The Pedestrian Lane. Woooopeeee!:)))

image

And because of my adrenalin rush at it’s finest, i almost had a photo at every stunning corner and part of the park, place where i took shots below is my favorite!:)

image

image

Dont you just love the little surprise of this peplum top? I love it to bitss!

image

image

Been overusing this pants, i must say, this is one of my favorite, it fits me so well:D

Whether it’s the end of the world or not, we should not stop from letting the people we love know, how much they are dear to us. It’s not everyday that we get the chance to be with them, so let’s always make the most out of it! Enjoy, go out, party all night, shop, bond with friends, laugh! Life may be short, but it’s up to us how to use what we are given!

All I want for Christmas is...

YOU:) <3

Hohoho! Merry Christmas! I know it’s a day after Christmas, but sure you all still feel the holiday spirit, so am I!:)

Don’t we all wish it’s the season of giving, loving and sharing everyday? So it’s not only one day that people will be extra jolly, happy and generous? Let’s all give importance to the people around us, show them you love them, you care and you’re lucky to have them, today and forever (YAY!<3). Sorry for sounding a bit impassioned this morning haha!

Anyway, here’s my Christmas Outfitey:

They say, when in doubt, wear red. Do you agree? I do. It’s always in high spirit with bold vibe just like this season!:)
