The POPSUGAR app was most certainly one of Charles’ guilty pleasures. He was more than aware that he could be spending his coffee break in a much more productive way than scanning the endless pages of advice columns and celebrity gossip, however, if he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have discovered the ‘30-Day Challenge for Single Women.' Yes, Charles was well aware he was a man but he had just come out of a long term relationship with his Cain Marko and, with a mind like Charles’, a distraction was most certainly in order.
It was the fifth of September when he arrived at a small bar, off of his university campus - The Hellfire. It tended to be occupied by last year postgraduates and Charles, being in his second year, had no real reason to set foot in the place. However, Raven had been taken on a date there before she had met Hank and had recommended it to her brother when he reached Day 5 of the challenge.
Day 5: Go out for drinks at a place you’ve never been to before; don’t leave without meeting a potential prospect.
Charles had already completed the first five days. Day 1 - which also happened to be his first day back at university - had consisted of him scrolling through Raven’s Instagram friends and following someone he found attractive. Charles had opted to follow a post graduate, mutant rights activist friend of Raven’s - Erik Lehnsherr. He had no idea if the man was gay or at all single but he was most certainly good looking and, most importantly, he followed back. Day 2 consisted of Charles making a list of things he looked for in a partner: intelligence, good looks, great smile,
big cock. Day 3 consisted of a list of everything he didn’t want: Cain. Day 4 found him putting on the tightest clothes he owned, applying chap-stick onto his already cherry coloured lips and ruffling his hair slightly before taking a selfie which could have almost been pornographic as he bit down into his bottom lip, his bright eyes screaming ’fuck me!’
Yes, it might have been obscene if he had he not been wearing clothing.

Charles spent the remainder of the day in an incredibly positive mood.
However, despite all this, he found that this had been biggest challenge so far. His initial plan had been to go with Hank but Hank was busy revising’ for and his Raven was busy 'helping’ him. So, Charles had been forced to go on his own, the tight trousers which clung to his arse were making him feel incredibly exposed. Liberated but nervous, certainly.
The telepath approached the bar, ordering a pint of bitter, which was when he spotted him. The young man he had been lusting over on Instagram. He ran his tongue slowly over his bottom lip - tasting the chap-stick he had applied and fingers curling around his pint of beer before he made the decision to approach him.
“Hello - Erik, right? I’m Raven’s brother - we’ve met briefly before?” he smiled softly, hovering slightly “do you mind if I join you?”
