contemporary meets regency

The latest addition to our project portfolio is this fantastic contemporary kitchen from Effeti. The project was a complete refurbishment of the existing galley kitchen in a beautiful Regency property.

Keope tiles were used on the floor emphasising the length of the basement kitchen but were kept soft in colour, complimenting the white gloss cabinetry. A touch of lavender colour was used on the wall units complimenting the natural light from the large window at the far end.

Every detail was considered carefully, from the appliances to storage, making the most out of every space whilst not compromising luxury.

The under stairs area, which is so often forgotten about, was thought about in great detail. Units were installed right up to the stairs to maximise on the space provided, with only a small gap left to frame the base units perfectly.

Abitalia and Effeti continue to create beautiful contemporary kitchens

Abitalia has established an excellent reputation for high quality design and contemporary Italian kitchens. A number of high profile kitchen projects have been completed since opening in 2007, with many being published in the national press. Working throughout Gloucestershire, Abitalia design, supply and install timeless contemporary kitchens and appliances.

Abitalia values the relationships between their suppliers, so are pleased to announce the latest step by Effeti in affirming it’s position as one the leading Italian kitchen manufacturers. The new Effeti website and showroom in Florence displays the latest in kitchen design and technology.

Effeti has evolved and developed beautifully over the years, producing design that not only looks good but provides simple solutions for the clients needs. With strong artisan roots, their design-led kitchens are for the most discerning of clients.

To compliment the modern designer kitchen, Abitalia are dealers for leading appliance companies such as Gaggenau, Siemens, Wolf, Subzero and Quooker to provide top of the range appliances that will last long into the future. The technical knowledge of their designers, coupled with a keen eye for detail, ensure a stunning result

If you are a private client, architect or developer embarking on a new project in 2012, contact Abitalia on 01242 262155 to discuss how their portfolio of kitchens and furniture for the home environment can set your project apart.

Abitalia will be updating the project pages on their website over the next few months, eventually photographing their extensive portfolio of completed projects including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, playrooms and libraries. Recently completed projects include: walk-in wardrobes for three private clients in Manchester, a floor-to-ceiling library and living composition in an Edwardian townhouse in Bristol, a stunning Effeti kitchen in the Cotswolds and three contemporary kitchens for a development in Cheltenham.

When interior architecture meets architecture

We had to blog this morning’s installation of the 40mm Marrone Etrusco quartz stone top for the latest Effeti kitchen being installed by Abitalia. Why? Abitalia work on many contemporary kitchens, yet this is a prime example of how interior architecture integrates beautifully with the architecture of the home.

The beautiful natural stone sourced and supplied by Abitalia was used in a 800x800mm format for the flooring throughout this residential property, with the same quartz stone being used to clad either side of the panoramic kitchen window and the kitchen work tops - an impressive five metre long run. The beautiful movement of the natural vein and variation in colour create a stunning continuity between surfaces and volumes. In addition the tonal fluctuation calls on the exterior environment and natural sources of colour.

Abitalia will professionally photograph the entire project as it reflects Abitalia’s approach to contemporary interior design. Abitalia has not only designed the kitchen, but also the bathrooms, wardrobes, living and dining areas. In the meantime, the iPhone photo’s give an insight into the work carried out by Abitalia. Our interior designers based in Cheltenham and the south coast work on interior architecture projects of all types and scale. The attention to detail given to a high profile kitchen is the same as a single freestanding wardrobe. Abitalia has a reputation for quality interior design and high standards of installation.

Abitalia featured in December's Beautiful Kitchens

As mentioned in Abitalia’s last blog post, we will start to blog past projects to hopefully inspire future clients and give a better insight into Abitalia’s kitchens. A recent project completed in Cheltenham was a kitchen from the Sinuosa range by Effeti.

The project was a complete renovation of an Edwardian house by BEAM Construction. Abitalia’s involvement centred around the kitchen, but also included flooring throughout the house, lighting, and the bespoke master bedroom wardrobe.

Published in December’s issue of Beautiful Kitchens magazine, the five page article describes the clients requirements, design constraints and the finished project. The contemporary Italian kitchen designed by Abitalia showcases the high standard of design and installation.
