He may have several years to go until he is eligible to vote but one nine-year-old boy was determined to have his say in Ireland’s gay marriage referendum.
This adorable note was found inside a ballot box at the Dublin South West vote counting centre.

He’ll be pleased to hear that it looks like the referendum looks set to produce a Yes result.
In the capital, a Yes landslide is expected, while elsewhere the Yes campaign is expected to win by around two to one.
Voters were asked one specific question on whether to amend Article 41 of the 1937 Constitution by adding a new clause to a section titled The Family.
It asked them to support or reject a change to the 78-year-old document which reads: “Marriage may be contracted in accordance with law by two persons without distinction as to their sex.”Ireland
currently recognises civil partnerships but not marriages between people of the same sex.
The country only decriminalised homosexuality 22 years ago.
