El Subcomandante and La Generala participate in Duke Students for Humane Borders's “So You Think You Can Be a Farmworker?” challenge. They are given two buckets that they have to fill up with potatoes as fast as possible and then carry back to a predetermined location. After they return their buckets, they are paid $0.50.

Although El Subcomandante and La Generala have fun with this activity, they understand that the point of it was point was not to “win,” but rather to learn a bit about the difficulty of this job. In the United States, there are en estimated two to three million farmworkers. Often, these workers are treated unfairly with difficult demands, harsh working conditions and/or little pay.
