Took advantage of the discount code posted by downeastandout a while back for the bespoke tie service from Linkson Jack and I must say the 3-fold unlined dark blue large weave silk grenadine tie I received is truly gorgeous.

Circle of 7: recommended #menswear blogs on Tumblr

I know: you abhor lists, you shit on lists, you got mad beef with anything that vaguely resembles a numbered itinerary of important things/concepts/people/ideas. So in honour of the flyest gentlemen on the interweb, I present - in no particular order - the 8 trillest/based/swaggy menswear blogs on Tumblr.

What leg opening do you ask for when you taper your chinos, out of curiosity?

Hey Jake,

When I started getting my pants tapered I was hovering around 8-8.5 inches. But then I found that sometimes, depending on the type of fabric and the weight of the fabric, it sometimes looked bell-bottom-ey because of how my legs are shaped (thick thighs, skinny calves).

I recently started going with 7.5 inches with no break and I like the way that looks, especially with loafers and such. I was worried at first because of my shoe size, and I am still getting used to the look, but so far I am liking it.

The only problem I have found is that it is a little too narrow for my chukka/desert boots. Any suggestions?

P.S. - I have my more recent suit pants at 8” still and may keep it there for more conservative environments, not sure though.
