Roxy Agogo is a one man band from Glasgow who inherits a disturbing and contemporary outlook on modern writing to create tracks of top class post-punk.
His most recent release on soundCloud, CROCOD!LES, takes gruesome guitars and spangly synths and layers them with an undercurrent of ghostly vocals, to create something dark and uncomfortable (in a good way, trust me).
Pair that with lascivious Scottish accentual lyrics and you experience an aura of unescapable psychosis: an obscurity which lingers in the dourest edges of experimental. Repetitive dabs of groovy baseline magnify the freakish lyrics to reiterate the uncomfortable strangeness of this compilation. The end product? A dark and lurid castration of modern life. Yet one which forces you off your feet and makes you want to groove.
"Freaking out feels good"
"I need some attention"
"You dangled a light in front of my nose, what did you imagine?"
