Thunder roiled outside and rain hit the window in sheets. It was only six in the morning and it looked as if it was midnight.
Fidan blinked awake, the sound of the angry weather waking her up far earlier than she had wished. She groaned and hid under the covered again as if that might save her the trouble of having to get up in an hour and a half.
A warm and furry thing was curled up against her stomach. She closed her eyes, slowly drifting off again, floating…

Confused, and still slightly asleep, she lifted up the covers, exposing her bare feet…
