So our campaign took us to the B Side Show last night! S/O to my family Wackoe and Rabbit, they welcomed me with open arms as usual and made me feel at home.

We talked about everything from the hardships of being Baby Sinbad to the highlights of the campaign thus far.

They haven’t posted the live stream just yet but soon as they do I will of course link you.

In May of this year my music was spun on 102.3 KJLH and I recorded it all via U-Stream. No management, no major label, no payola….just hard work and a good brotha & dope DJ named World Famous N.I.C. who believed in me and my craft. He believed in it so much that he risked a fresh job and opportunity to see my music get on one of the largest radio stations in Los Angeles. This was one of the proudest moments of my career.

Ab-Soul’s critically acclaimed street album “Long Term 2" presented a unique experience in my journey as an independent artist. It is a little known fact that not only did I produce the title track “Long Term 2" on this album but I also had the pleasure of creating the cover art for the album as well.

Although it can be very time consuming I LOVE being a D.I.Y. artist for this very reason.

So on Wednesday I get a call from Noa.

Noa: “Yo Curt, what you gettin into tonight?”

Curtiss: “Nada, campaigning & chillin with my lady”

Noa: “uh, you down to go open up with me for Murs in Bakersfield?”

Soooooo…About 5 hours later at a Bakersfield bar and grill called Fishlips, Noa and I poured our hearts out to a packed house of Hip Hop heads. Among those that peeped our show, MURS himself overlooked things in a very lowkey corner of the venue.

Being that I’ve been campaigning my ass off to get on Paid Dues, I used this rare opportunity to ask the crowd of primarily strangers one ballsy question: “Do yall think this is good enough for Paid Dues 2012?" - Peep the reaction
