countryisms

Just watched the s 05 premier of mlp. p good. Not the best but good pinkie is not screamie anymore. Countryisms. Chubby pinkie in one scene. Yes

I just watched the MLP season 5 premier

It was good. Was amused at the tought of Spike/Big Macintosh bro time. Has anyone drawn that yet? Groaned at the name Starlight Glimmer. Whole premise reminded me of Amon and the Equalists from the Legend of Korra. Song was nice. Equalized Pinkie scarier than Pinkamena. Kept wanting the CMC to show up. Baloon talent was wacky. He should hang out with Pinkie. Physics optional. Applejack countryisms. Good overall. 10/10.

When someone claims the season five premier was AJ bashing

Seriously AJ losing her annoying ass countryisms because of losing her cutie mark was funny deal with it. Cheese and Rice is there no pleasing you people!? Its like you arent happy with anything AJ does every episodes focused on her is considered bad and when something funny happens to her you suddenly cry the show is bashing her now? No wonder the show cant do anything right with her character you big babies get offended by it when they do do something with her.

ask-heathersweetfeathers asked:

well slap me silly and call me a bull, what ya'll got against country-isms?

I have a love/hate affair with countryisms.

Some are nice.

Some are funny.

And I can’t make one up on the top of my head. It’s my 15th greatest shame in life.

Right below my general laziness but just above walking flat footed.

I think I’ll write down some thoughts here on each episode of the 5th season of MLP. Sounds good.

That season premiere was pretty good. The story was really neat, and it was a nice fit coming off of the last season and Twilight’s becoming the “princess of friendship.” This episode gave a good example of what that title actually means, and tied into the theme of the last season’s finale. It reaffirmed the importance of Twilight’s friends to her knowledge and power, and tied in pretty nicely with the “equality” of the village.

I also liked Fluttershy and Pinkie in this one, especially how Pinkie could see right through the fake smiles of the villagers. It made sense that Fluttershy would be more willing to trust the village and Starlight, and would like their way of thinking. Applejack was pretty funny in losing, and then victoriously regaining, her countryisms. Rarity and Rainbow Dash seemed kinda flanderized and one-note, but they didn’t have too much to do.

The village ponies were interesting. It seemed like they were either insecure about Starlight’s propaganda, or just going along with her word out of fear. That could have been why they turned on her, or more importantly her ideas, so quickly.

But yeah, good episode, the map sets up a story arc for the rest of the season/series, it’ll be interesting to see where that goes.
