Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters — The Official Graphic Novel (July 2013)

The Sirens scene illustrated in comic book form. Still makes me mad that the movie cut this entire part out — it was one of the most powerful scenes in the book.

It was also the beginning of Percy and Annabeth’s relationship — Percy got a glimpse into Annabeth’s mind, which showed her deep-seated desire for her parents to reunite, her crush on Luke, and her big dreams to be an architect.

Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief official graphic novel (2010)

Man, I’ve forgotten how much Percy’s life sucked before he went to Camp Half-Blood. He was failing classes and getting expelled from schools, had no friends besides Grover, was borderline poor and had to live with a terrible stepfather who demanded money from him.

Kid just looked so depressed all the time.
