Paul’s final instructions to the church of Colossae is pretty good.
"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving." (v2)
Had to think about it a bit, but I think it’s just a reminder to thank God a lot instead of demanding things
"Walk in wisdom towards outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person" (v5-6)
So a call to be light and salt. To me, this flows well from verse 2 because my position needs to be right: in constant thankfulness to God, always gracious. Wisdom is fear of the Lord, and dunno about salt, but the light I shine should always be reflecting God’s awesomeness and my response of thankfulness. Only then will I be able to answer peeps curious about Jesus.
