I haven’t been posting much since I’m not really training for anything. I’m enjoying my time running just for the heck of it, but definitely looking forward to my next serious training period. It has been consuming my thoughts but I won’t bore you with that now. I had a nice running weekend, watching my son’s last xcountry meet of the year this past weekend. Today I ran groin pain free for the first time since I started running again after the nyc marathon. It felt great to just run and not feel that sharp pain. As much as I tried to ignore it, it was bothering me. I try to not give it mental energy and focus on maintaining good running form instead no matter how slow. I had a couple of really slow runs. Today it felt good to just go even though I held back and didn’t go too fast. Central Park was amazing with the colors. Now I’m on a bus trying to get home, but blocked by protesters..hmmm. I’ve been solid in the gym and I’m already feeling stronger and noticing the changes in my body. Even though I’m 45, my body still responds really quickly to the weights. Anyway.
