book tag!

I was tagged by flfteen

Rules: in a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them!

1. Harry Potter series (JK Rowling)

These books completely changed my perspective on life and love specifically. Harry especially was so strong despite losing so much and I think really every character spoke to me on such a personal level I literally adore these books so much and Im forever thankful they exist.

2. The Mortal Instruments series (Cassandra Clare)

These books are utterly beautiful and full of love and sacrifice which is quite important I guess. These books have shown me how strong love is and how it can basically overcome even death. As much as I find Clary a very weak/ annoying character I love most of the others and I am utterly in love with jace :)

3. Divergent (Veronica Roth)

I haven’t read the whole series yet but the book is fantastic although I am not too keen on characters yet however I love Tris and I think she is just so normal and I love her.

4. Private Peaceful (Michael Morpurgo)

I love the story to this book so much and I think it just beautifully written. I usually don’t actually like Michael’s writing but this is one of the best he has written. I just find Tommo’s character amazing and I love how vivid this novel was. It was so alive and the characters just felt so real and the book definitely twisted with my emotions like I felt like I knew Tommo and charlie or something.

5. War Horse (Michael Morpurgo)

Same author yes. This is the one other Morpurgo book I actually like. I think once again the main reason was the characters, they were just the most realistic beautiful people ever and when times get tough you have to be strong and I just love this book.

6. Bridge to Terabithia (Katherine Paterson)

This story has touched me a lot and to be honest this is one of the rare times I prefer the film (BC JOSH HUTCHERSON OH  MY GOD) This story is the cutest thing and what happened to Leslie never fails to shatter my soul even further.

7. The Infernal Devices (Cassandra Clare)

This series is the saddest thing in the world because I basically adore Will. I love Cassandra’s writing so much it’s just so layered and wispy and pretty and delicate.

8. Flipped (Wendelin Van Draanen)

This book is the most adorable thing ever I can’t tell you how cute this book is oh my god it is so swoon-worthy and fluffy. I ship Bryce and Juli so so hard and I love how the book had two voices.

9. The Narnia series (C.S. Lewis)

This series is so imaginative and I just love it. How it shows that one day we all must grow up and I dunno like come out of our little Narnia’s I guess. I loved Lucy the most because of her innocence and playful yet brave nature and I think the series is so captivating and brilliant.

10. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (John Boyne)

This book left me so upset and made me think so much. Although it is historically inaccurate, the friendship melted my heart. There was so much war and violence going on yet, there was this small little bit of love out there and this book is stunning.
