Now that the ep’s over and I can breathe again, can I just gush for a moment about what perfection that Crowley kill was?
Everything I love about that character could be summed up in the few seconds of that scene.
The wit, the callousness, the discomforting casualty with which he’ll take a life.
It all sounds terrifying, and it should. It comes naturally to him in a way that makes the passion and anger and brutality of the other deaths on the show seem fantastical, and the nonchalant manner in which he returns to his typical smirking, sassy self all the more jarring.
I love my heroes, but I’m grateful for the villains that keep both them (and us) on edge.
In short, Crowley scares the hell out of me.
And I hope he keeps it up until the end.
