As I mentioned previously, Wellsboro, PA is about 10 miles or so from Pennsylvania’s Grand Canyon. Here you’ll find the classic Wellsboro Diner, and, of course, the Penn-Wells hotel. There’s a pretty rad thrift store at the far end of town. Ironically, Wellsboro used to be famous for it’s gas lamp-lined streets; now it’s a site of controversial hydraulic fracturing natural gas mining.
Further down US-15, heading towards Corning, is Steam Valley, PA. These photo post cards, also from Caulkin, are from the Fry Brothers Turkey Ranch, which is still in operation today.
