New to BOS'13: CinemaSunday!

by Mandy Mandelstein

Arts in Bushwick is happy to announce Cinema Sunday, the first ever official film showcase during BOS’13. CinemaSunday is a collaboration between AiB and the Bushwick Film Festival to provide an opportunity for Bushwick based video artists and filmmakers to show their work to the community on a big screen. We’re hoping you’ll join us at Bat Haus the evening of Sunday June, 2nd to watch the best of what Bushwick filmmakers have to offer. Expect a carefully curated night of innovative works, Q&A and a backyard BBQ to celebrate the films and the closing of a another successful BOS weekend!

CinemaSunday is now hosting an open call looking for creative, innovative, weird, cool, short films from Bushwick’s finest filmmakers. We are accepting work in the Narrative, Documentary and Experimental categories. Send us anything that you want to show off: interesting stories, stop motion, music videos, short docs, animation, glitch video, ect.  We love short documentaries that are centered around Bushwick/North Brooklyn, neighborhoods in transition (here and abroad), and how art and artists play a role in these changing places.

To submit your work, please fill out the submission form here.

ALL FILMS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY APRIL 19th.

We are also looking for a few installation based video peices for events throughout the weekend, so email Mandy at film@artsinbushwick.org if you are interested!
