When I’m having a not so great time, I generally turn to movies. They might be amazing masterpieces, but a lot of the time they’re usually so bad that they’re good again. 

Below is a list (with small summary and safe link to where you can watch them without too many pop ups) of movies I like watching when I’m bummed out.

  1. 10 Things I Hate About You - A remake of the classic Shakespeare play “The Taming of the Shrew.”, set in a modern day highschool. (link)
  2. Amelie - Amelie, an innocent and naive girl in Paris, with her own sense of justice, decides to help those around her and along the way, discovers love. (link)
  3. Bring It On - A champion high school cheerleading squad discovers its previous captain stole all their best routines from an inner-city school and must scramble to compete at this year’s championships. (link)

  5. Clueless - Jane Austen’s Emma meets Beverley Hills 90210 in US West Coast teen lifestyle parody. (link)
  6. Hot Fuzz - Jealous colleagues conspire to get a top London cop transferred to a small town and paired with a witless new partner. On the beat, the pair stumble upon a series of suspicious accidents and events. (link)
  7. Ghostbusters - Three unemployed parapsychology professors set up shop as a unique ghost removal service. (link)
  8. Grease - Good girl Sandy and greaser Danny fell in love over the summer. But when they unexpectedly discover they’re now in the same high school, will they be able to rekindle their romance? (link)
  9. Clerks - A day in the lives of two convenience clerks named Dante and Randal as they annoy customers, discuss movies, and play hockey on the store roof. (link)
  10. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off - A high school wise guy is determined to have a day off from school, despite of what the principal thinks of that. (link)
