I MADE SPANISH OMELETTE!

Beat 4 eggs with salt.

Sliced and chopped a single medium potato. Fried in extra virgin olive oil, since I lacked normal olive oil until they were soft.

Sliced up red pepper and a couple of small tomatoes. (omitted the onion as I don’t like onion »;; )

Drained oil from potatoes, added pepper and tomatoes to the egg mixture, then the potatoes once the frying pan had cooled down a little.

Poured all in to pan and cooked until underside was brown and the edges had cooked.

THEN CAME THE MOMENT OF TRUTH!

THE FLIPPING OF THE OMELETTE!

I took my mighty plate and placed it on top of the frying pan, may have slightly burnt my finger but BATTLE WOUNDS are expected.

AND THEN I FLIPPED IT UPSIDE DOWN.

And like a miracle the omelette landed safely!!

I then slid it back into the pan to make sure that side of it cooked all the way through, before serving.

I later realised i should have added maybe more salt or even pepper as it tasted quite flavourless o^o

Not quite sure how I could have improved it… maybe next time i’ll add onions into it super fine, for their flavour, despite not liking them »;

TODAY WE MAKE PIE

Chicken and Leek pie.

My mother gave me a recipe, so we’ll have to see how it turns out.

In other news I recently tried to make Chicken Noodle Soup and failed miserably. The leeks were too hard, the chicken was cooked too long, and the soup didn’t have much flavour for being chicken flavour. I did what I could with the ingredients I owned.

Yes. Now off I go to make pie.

Salmon Potato Cakes!

After pancakes for dinner I finally summoned up the courage to make Salmon Cakes.

I wasn’t following any particular recipe, I cobbled one together from the thousands online.

I basically: Boiled two cut up potatoes…. In a pot that was too small to hold them plus water, so it may have bubbled over…
Whilst doing that I prepared in three different bowls: Flour, Egg, Panko (Japanese Bread Crumbs). I also cut up the smoked salmon (as I didn’t want to spend more time cooking fish from fresh). Once again I had guidance from Leanne as I battled boiling hot oil in a pan.

This took me over two hours guys QAQ I suck.

Have some pictures!
