Title: Summer uniform
Summary: Sasuke takes a certain liking to Sakura’s new summer uniform.
For fuck’s sake, get a hold of yourself.
Of course he would trip on the only visible rock around for miles he thought, trying his best to compose himself as he was thankful no one had seen him. Due to a certain distraction Sasuke had, once again, lost his footing for the third time that day and it was barely noon.
Team Seven was traveling through the scorching desert’s heat on their way to meet the Prince from the Land of the Moon. The mission was a rather simple one; they were assigned to protect the Prince on the last leg of his world trip. Due to it being such a high profile client it was considered a B-rank mission. Why did they have to meet this guy in the middle of desert was really beyond him. Nevertheless, he was grateful to not be stuck doing some crappy D-ranked mission, so he didn’t complain.
Still, he swears that he’s never felt such an intense heat like this. He could feel the back of his shirt dampen from the amount of sweat it had accumulated. Maybe he should have taken his mother’s advice and switched into some lighter colored clothing. She had pulled out a pair of light grey shorts and a high collared white t-shirt with the Uchiha crest on the back for him, but he chose to disregard her and went with his usual black one-piece jump suit.
The rest of the team had opted to change into their summer uniforms. Kakashi was wearing what looked like his typical attire, but with shorter sleeves and his pants’ length were a bit shorter as well. Naruto was also wearing a short sleeves and a short pants ensemble in the same annoying orange color as his regular attire.
They were not his problem at the moment though.
No. His problem lies with the pink-headed girl currently to the left of him.
They’ve been on the same team for a little over a year now which had allowed them to be on numerous missions where they were in close proximities to one other and have seen each other in their most disheveled and unkempt appearances, with blood and sweat covering their torn battle clothes. They’ve seen each other at their best and at their worst.
“So why the hell is this a fucking problem,” he thought as his eyes discreetly slid over to his left once more and down until they reached the creamy pale expanse of skin that was exposed in-between red her crop top and skirt.
It’s not the most revealing outfits he’s ever seen on a girl, heck considering what some of the other female shinobi wear around the village he would hardly consider it revealing at all.
But since the moment he saw her by the village gates, he hadn’t been able to think, talk or walk straight. He really should be focusing on this damn mission, but the only thing his mind is set on is knowing if her midriff is as incredibly soft as it looks.
She’s his teammate for God’s sakes, he shouldn’t be thinking
about her in this way at all.
It was the snickering that made him snap his head back up.
He glanced back to where said noise came from; it was the first time he had noticed Naruto walking a few steps behind him and Sakura. He gave him a questioning look, wondering what he could possibly find so funny when they’re in the middle of the desert.
In return to his questioning look, Naruto gave him one of his sly grins, which rendered him more confused. This caused Naruto to have another giggle fit that cause him to roll his eyes at the idiot and turned his attention back to their intended direction. which for some reason only caused Naruto to snicker even louder.
Once the fit had subsided he risked another glance back towards the idiot to only have Naruto give him that sly grin once again, this time accompanied with the waggling of his eyebrows. Right when he was about to turn back around and disregard said idiot, Naruto jerked his head up, pointing his chin to where Sakura was walking along beside him.
He stopped and fully turned around to face Naruto, who had stopped as well and had begun to his wiggle eyebrows once more at him before proceeding to imitate what appeared to be a kiss.
“Guys?” He heard Sakura call out from behind him, probably wondering why both Naruto and him had stopped.
“Sorry Sakura-chan!!” Naruto called out to her as he put his hands behind his head and began walking again. “Sasuke seemed to have gotten a bit distracted by—”
“Kakashi,” he interrupted, “I refuse to accept any more missions unless they take place in the Land of Snow.”
