THE TIP-OFF: THE RIO MANICURE

Learning this nail look is way easier than chasing a soccer ball around.

Our favorite international soccer tourney is under way, and just because we’re not kicking it on the field with some of the world’s most impressive athletes doesn’t mean we can’t join in on the fun. Today, we’re doing a Formula X nail tutorial dubbed The Rio—in Brazilian colors, naturally. BECKY PEDERSON

STEP ONE: Prep nails by applying Cleanse.

STEP TWO: Swipe on the Neon Base Coat.

STEP THREE: Apply two coats of Zap, an electric limoncello, to each nail.

STEP FOUR: Let your nails dry for two minutes, or about the time it takes one professional soccer player to run the length of a field ten times.

STEP FIVE: Paint Prism, a pearly green, about a quarter of the nail up from its base in a curved half-circle. Fill in the rest of the nail from there to the tip.

STEP SIX: Let your nails dry for two minutes while you ponder how it is humanly possible for a person to sprint for 90 minutes nonstop.

STEP SEVEN: Repeat step four with Zing, a bold teal, this time starting in the middle.

STEP EIGHT: Let your nails dry for two minutes and marvel at the fact though this tutorial only took you ten minutes, you feel more exhausted than the soccer players look on your TV.

STEP NINE: Apply the Neon Top Coat.

OOTD: We’ll Always Have Paris (…in North London)

This is my first proper outfit post and I really want to start doing more. I had to rope Aaron into being my photographer and felt pretty stupid stood on the street but am really pleased with the pictures.

It’s getting chillier in London and I am actually really enjoying wearing clothes with a bit more coverage. I complain about the temperature but I’m definitely an autumn/winter girl!

Sapphire Drip Nails for the nailpornography Sapphire Birthstone NOTW contest!  I had way too much fun trying to get pictures looking through them at things all day xD

Mylar swoosh with a faceted pattern cut into it planted in base coat and topped with top coat before using my most sapphire blue (Nina Ultra Pro Cobalt, it’s baaaad assss) and more top coat.  Then covered that in base/clear uv/gems/uv top coat with the UV lamp.

I’ve missed you all😢 2 days without being on IG seemed like a long time😂 Anyway, I started my new job yesterday so I’ve been a little busy with training and stuff. •
Here is the mani I wore yesterday, so in love and impressed with #cuccio colors from @hbbeautybar I used their base coat and high gloss top coat as well, and they are Ah-mazing 😍 the vampy redish/brown is ‘French pressed for time’ and the glitter is ‘Cupa cuccio’ with full coverage at 1 coat!🙌

2008 Epiphone Dot Studio WB :: headstock repair (rear).

The rear of the neck was finished at the factory with the color in the topcoat.  Usually color is the base coat with top clear coats.  I selectively sanded through the color layer for aesthetics while blending in the finish fills so the neck feels smooth.  There is still the original finish in this area although it may appear to look like bare wood.

Original break here.

E proprio mentre stai facendo asciugare lo smalto...!!!

Ovvio, no?

  1. Ruby Wine (in alto a sinistra)
  2. Dark Jade (in alto a destra)
  3. Deep Scarlet (in basso a sinistra)
  4. Lilac (in basso a destra)

Buona manicure a tutte!

Rommel London salon Pro 557 YES SIR!….love it easy to use and coverage only two coats + base coat..no top coat!!!!!♥

Today I’ve got Julep’s “Misti” topped with OPIs “The Living Daylights.” I’m pretty sure the OPI is discontinued but I found it easily on eBay if you’re interested :)

The glitter had a bit too much clear base around it which made placement difficult, but I still love the colours.

Also, I’m testing OPIs “Glitter Off” base coat for the second time with this manicure, so I’ll make a post about how I like it in a few days :) For those who don’t know, it’s a base coat, supposedly very similar to the Elmer’s glue/water mixture some people use at home, which lets you peel off your glitter nail polish instead of having to scrub at your nails with nail polish remover. I hate taking off glitter nail polish so I’m very excited to test this out :)
