Pycnonemosaurus was another abelisaurid from the Maastrichtian stage of the Late Cretaceous, about 70 million years ago. It was found in the Mato Grosso in Brazil, and is estimated to have been 7 meters long. It is known from fragmentary remains, and a crest on the tibia and a small pubic foot distinguishes it as a separate abelisaurid species. Nothing else is known about this dinosaur.
