When we discovered Sophie Elkus blog we instantly fell in love with the tone of her blog and of course her style! A student at USC, Sophie’s blog is a must for any fashion blog lover! Get to know her in this weeks Fashion Blogger Friday!

What gets your fashion heart pumping? Shoes… dresses… a great purse?

Shoes and purses all the way. I’m a big believer in the philosophy of spending your money on great shoes and a well-designed, high quality purse and saving on the rest of your outfit. If your shoes and bag look great you can wear practically anything; great accessories will take you from season to season.

What is one trend that you are not a fan of?

I love trying new trends for fun, but some fads are a little weird to me.. I will never be used to those ear cuff earrings that were so popular this spring for music festival season.

When you’re not blogging, what are you doing?

When I’m not blogging or going to events and meetings, I am a full time student at USC finishing my senior year of college. I intern in styling and editorial, do some modeling work on the side and spend time with my friends, family and little Maltese named Gemma.

How has blogging changed or affected your life?

The best part about blogging is definitely the wonderful friends I’ve made across the world. It’s so amazing to meet likeminded people who share your passion. Some of my very best friends I’ve met through the blog world, and now we spend time traveling together, attending fashion weeks and supporting each other. I’ve also been given incredible career opportunities through the blog world that I’m appreciative of.

What advice do you give to up and coming bloggers?

Stay consistent, engage your followers on all your social media platforms and don’t give up! If you’re passionate and you have a great eye for fashion, people will notice and your brand will grow.

Your Guilty Pleasure Song?

Anything Justin Timberlake - I just saw him in concert this week with Jay Z and he was incredible (and such a talented dancer too!)

Celebrity Crush?

Diane Kruger and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Diane has incredible red carpet style and always looks so poised and elegant. She also speaks 3 languages! Rosie has great street style; I’m always looking at her paparazzi shots for inspiration.

Best piece of advice someone gave you.

My mom always tells me to stay true to myself and surround myself with happy, positive people who will reflect good energy.

What is one trend that is a bit out there but, you think people should try out anyways?
