PCRF Join with Brave Heart Association and the AUBMC in Beirut to save Syrian girl’s life
On April 7, seven-year-old Khadijah Sttouf from Syria had life-saving open-heart surgery by Dr. Issam El-Rassi at the American University Hospital in Beirut, Lebanon. The PCRF shared in the costs of covering her cardiac operation with the Brave Heart Association of Lebanon, who are experts in arranging care for Arab children born with heart defects. Thousands of Syrian children a year are born with congenital heart disease, and the war in their homeland prevents them from getting the life-saving care that they need. We are honored to be able to help save Khadijah’s life, and we hope to be able to do more in the future.
