Allen’s race pic from the ½ marathon he participated in Sussex on March 23, 2013 in preparation for the Virgin London Marathon on April 21, 2013.

For the half marathon, he came in 172 (of 305) with a time of 2:20:52. 0:39:20 after the winner of the ½ marathon. You can find the results here. (You will need to scroll past the 10 km results to get to the ½ marathon results. He was wearing bib 0568.)

Lady Sybil and Tom Branson get it!  There are plenty of reasons to run, but Allen Leech is running to help the young homeless in the UK.  How will him running help anyone?  It won’t really; he’s pretty much hoping people donate.

Let’s do something more than fangirl over Allen’s arms, fringe and/or booty.  We all spend too much time on the computer, why not spend a minute or two of that donating?  Don’t think that £1 is enough (it’s like $1.50)?  IT IS!  Because if we all donate a little, it will add to a lot!

S/T fans, DA fans, AL fans, running fans, homeless fans (?), whatever motivates you, just go ahead and do it!  You don’t have to live in the UK.  I was able to use my Visa card from the US.  It was very easy.  Or you can use paypal. Don’t wait; go now.  Click Here to Donate

It’s what Sybil would have wanted.

So I made a thing.  Since Allen couldn’t run, I figured I do what we do best (since most of us Allen Leech fans are S/T shippers) and ignore reality and create a new one.  So I used all of Repmet’s gifs to make a slow motion Allen running montage thing.  So he ran today and here’s the footage…

This so dumb!  And it makes me giggle!

*special thanks to Angiemagz for the extra gif at the end (which I feel best represents the AL fandom) and of course repmet!

And don’t forget to donate!

It had become the routine.

Every morning Tom got up, before the rest of the world it seemed, and ran.  His only companion the smells of bread cooking and coffee roasting.  Lights flickered on around him, the world waking, the cold of the night retreating in the face of the warm sun.

He’d always been active, playing football whenever the old school pals got together, or even lifting weights, but he’d never been a runner.  The challenge had seemed exciting and worthwhile.

When he returned home, breath puffing and drops of sweat pooling at the nape of his neck, Sybil would be up preparing to wake their brood.  A kiss and a swat on the bum, and he would head for a shower.

It had been difficult, but it was now routine.

But his favorite day, his favorite time to run, was Saturday.  That was his favorite part of the new routine.  The kids would wake and dress without complaint and all of them would head to the park.  Some mornings Sybil would pack a breakfast and some mornings they would stop at a nearby bakery and buy breakfast, but they always ate together.

Then Tom would stretch and three little monkey’s would mimic his every move, while Sybil would sit and laugh at their antics.  Some mornings the babies would run with him around the park, at least for a little while, some mornings they just played on the nearby playground, but as Tom wound down his morning run, they’d always gather together on the railing and practice their cheering.

“In preparation for when you finish the marathon,” Sybil had explained, her belief in him never failing, never wavering.

Those sweet moments, every Saturday morning, was what he looked forward to each week.  It meant something to him.  It meant more than he thought it ever would.

He ran for them; his family, his support.

Let’s support Allen Leech in his real life marathon run.  Donate Today!

Every little bit helps, and remember you don’t have to live in the UK to donate!

Featuring one of our sponsored donors!

When we heard about Angiemagz’s plight in trying to donate to Allen’s marathon run (which involved multiple attempts and the bank deciding to freeze her accounts for a while), we decided to sponsor her so she could get her message to Allen.

When we contacted her, we asked why she loved Allen and wanted to donate:

First off he’s a brilliant actor … he can convey so much with just a look and he’s 100% in the moment whenever he’s on the screen. And he seems like an outstanding human being, he does loads of charity work and that is so admirable.

So, if you are too young to own a bank account or have tried to donate to Allen’s cause, but haven’t been able to due to banking problems, reblog/tweet/like this post and tell us your circumstance and we’ll put you into a draw for a sponsorship you so that you, too, can get a message to Allen.

Because we believe that Every Fangirl Can Make A Difference!

Donations Can Continue Until Next Week!

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that donations for the marathon can continue until next week, so don’t stop just because the marathon is upon us. You have more time to donate.

Show Allen that even though he’s not running because of the shin splints that you still support him!

Because Every Fangirl Can Make A Difference!

If you are unable to donate, check out our sponsorship program!

There once was a man,

who ran and he ran

but what was he running for?

It feels odd to say

that he ran away

to help those who needed more.

You can help others as well!  Donate Today and even if Allen Leech is unable to run (let’s be honest, with shinsplints, he really shouldn’t run) that doesn’t put an end to the chance to help those who need it. I’m sure it would be disappointing to train for a marathon and then in the last week suffer an injury that may put an end to the chance to run.  So let’s work to help this not be disappointing, by raising as much as we can.  Remember if you are having issues or concerns about donating let us know and we can help support and donate in your name.  Just send us a PM! But do it quickly, time is running out! (Punny!!!)

We’ve clear £2,000!!!

But any good runner knows you can’t rest long–the muscles get tight or maybe lazy, or they forget what they are suppose to do? Sounds like muscles are pretty dumb, I don’t really know, I’m definitely NOT a good runner, but I hear stuff, things.  I think the metaphor sticks though; we can’t quit now folks!

When we heard about Shana-rosee’s plight in trying to donate to Allen’s marathon run (which involved multiple attempts and calling the bank/mastercard to no avail), we decided to sponsor her so she could get her message to Allen.

When we contacted her, we asked why she loved Allen and wanted to donate:

Allen’s a top notch actor. He really puts his all into every role he’s playing and he truly amazing at expressing so much raw emotion with just his facial expression. He’s not afraid to have fun and that really brings a spark to the characters.

I think it’s wonderful what Allen’s doing. The London Marathon is no easy feat so committing to such a tough marathon really shows his dedication to the cause.

So, if you are too young to own a bank account or have tried to donate to Allen’s cause, but haven’t been able to due to banking problems, reblog/tweet/like this post *and* tell us your circumstance and we’ll put you into a draw for a sponsorship you so that you, too, can get a message to Allen.
