The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,

“Let none of you wish for death on account of an affliction that befalls him. If he has no alternative, let him pray: ‘Allahumma ahyine ma kanatil-hayatu khairan li, wa tawaffani idha kanatil-wafatu khairan li (O Allah! Give my life so long as the life is good for me, and take away my life if death is good for me).’”

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Allah will give shade, to seven, on the Day when there will be no shade but His. (These seven persons are)

1) A just ruler.

2) A youth who has been brought up in the worship of Allah (i.e. worships Allah sincerely from childhood).

3) A man whose heart is attached to the masjid (i.e. to pray the compulsory prayers in the masjid in congregation).

4) Two persons who love each other only for Allah’s sake and they meet and part in Allah’s cause only.

5) A man who refuses the call of a charming woman of noble birth for illicit intercourse with her and says: ‘I am afraid of Allah’.

6) A man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in charity).

6) And a person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes are then flooded with tears.”

—  [Sahih Bukhari Vol. 1, no. 629. Narrated Abu Huraira (radhiAllaahu ‘anhu)]

Hz. Abu Bakr Siddique (ra)’s Poverty

Holy Prophet (asws) was once sitting with Abu Bakr (ra). And Hz Abu Bakr was wearing a shirt that had thorns as buttons. And Jibreel (as) came from the heavens, gave salams to Holy Prophet (as) and asked, ‘Why do I see Abu Bakr wearing a robe that he buttons at the chest with thorns?’

And Holy Prophet (asws) answered saying,’Ya Jibreel! He had spent all his wealth on me before the conquest of Makkah.’ And Hz Jibreel said to Holy Prophet (asws), ‘Convey Allah’s greetings to him and tell him that his Lord is asking: Are you pleased with me in this state of poverty or displeased?’ And Holy Prophet (asws) told this to Hz. Abu Bakr who began crying, and saying, ,’Can I ever be displeased with my Lord? I am pleased with my Lord! I am pleased with my Lord!’

That is the Siddiq al-Akbar. So the Sahaba-e-Kiram, they are those men to whom the greetings of Allah came from the Heavens. They are those men who were granted titles from the Lord of the Universes. They are those men who were pleased with the Messenger of Allah, and he was pleased with them. And he loved them.

~ Hoja Lokman Effendi Hz

"No amount of guilt can change the past and no amount of worrying can change the future. Go easy on yourself for the outcome of all affairs is determined by Allah’s Decree. If something is meant to go elsewhere, it will never come on your way, but if it is yours by destiny, from you it cannot flee.” (Umar ibn al-Khattab r.a)

Absolutely LOVE these quotes!!

You may fall in Love with the Beauty of someone but Remember,
Finally you have to live with Character, not Beauty.

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said,

"A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a losers

(Sahih Al Bukhari)
