JESUS-CHRIST

I think it definitely shaped what I was gravitating towards. I always like to balance a more feminine look with something that makes me feel sort of stronger, and I think having shorter hair is very raw. I feel like there’s nothing to hide behind, and so I have been a little bit more apt to wear some more stark things, like a suit, and not have to worry about needing to put the heels on necessarily.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
—  Ephesians 6:12-13
Rejoice today, O Church of Christ, that before wast barren and sadly childless. For through water and the Spirit children have been born thee, who raise their cry in faith: None is holy as our God and none is righteous save Thee, O Lord.
—  St. Cosmas the Hymnographer
When we look at the love of Christ, we make a wonderful discovery. Love is more a decision than an emotion! Christ-like love applauds good behavior. At the same time Christ-like love refuses to endorse misbehavior. Jesus loved His apostles, but He wasn’t silent when they were faithless. Jesus loved the people in the temple, but He didn’t sit still when they were hypocritical.
