@SoudaBrooklyn / suiteny: DIAPOSITIVE DESK Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec A new design by French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the Diapositive collection consists of desks, benches and a small bookcase in colored extra light transparent glass. For their first collection for Glas Italia, the designers chose to edge the simple glass panels with wooden borders in order to get away from the sense of fragility of all-glass furniture. #RonanErwanBouroullec available at @suiteny

We bear in mind that the object we are working on is going to be ridden in, sat upon, looked at, talked into, activated, operated, or in some other way used by people.

If the point of contact between the product and the people becomes a point of friction, then the industrial designer has failed.

On the other hand, if people are made safer, more efficient, more comfortable - or just plain happier - by contact with the product, then the designer has succeeded.
