Graham,-Anderson,-Probst-&-White

Love this low, horizontal mid-century modern office building perched at the edge of the Chicago River and mysteriously named “General Growth” (look under the smoke). Turns out it was designed in the mid ’50s by Graham, Anderson, Probst & White, the firm descended from Daniel Burnham’s practice! Few low-slung buildings survive in downtown Chi-town. This one gives you a glimpse into office workers going about their biz and opens up views to the surrounding steel and glass behemoths. #midcenturymodern#officebuilding#modern#chicago#chicagocommon#chicagogram#cityscape#historicpreservation#chicagocommon#chicagojpg#mychicagopix#flippinchi#oldhouselove#archi_ologie#midmodmondays#archidaily by vignette250 http://ift.tt/1DvncGR
