Im hoping you can help me, I've been dabbling in things here and there for a while and don't know if i've found any one type of witchcraft that i prefer. ive yet to come across any sort of sufficient list of types and I suppose thats because of how many there are but do you have any ideas for starting points?

I have a sort of sufficient list of types! It’s not a be-all end-all list, but a starting point, yes!

Hey! So I have Bipolar II with Psychosis and PTSD. I was in a treatment program back in December, and am still in the very early stages of my recovery. I have a couple of questions. How do you maintain a routine? And do you have any tips/resources for people with hallucinations/paranoia/other psychotic tendencies? Thanks!

Hi there welcome to recovery dear! I maintain routine through electronic organization apps and self-discipline. I use an app called Way of Life, reminders, alarms, and calendars especially. As far as resources for psychotic tendencies:

I’m sorry I don’t have more but I hope these help!

Ahh yes, The dreaded school. When it comes around we all dread, new teachers, new schedule, some new unfamiliar faces, the MASSIVE amount of homework load, less time on tumblr. Here is another long post with a few sites and others to help you out here!

TIPS:

  1. Remember that today’s day in age is different from how it was back then. So don’t stress about school too much.High school students today have the anxiety of what a mental patient in the insane asylum had in the 50s. Here’s also a thing to show how times have changed.
  2. Prioritize. List what needs to get done first and when. Sometimes getting the bigger/harder tasks is easier than conquering the smaller/easier tasks.
  3. Set times when certain projects need to be done and stick to that deadline.
  4. Turn your phone off or give it to your parents while doing work/studying. I know that we live in the age of technology and literally everything is at the touch of our fingertips. Honestly though you can wait on what your favorite celebrity has to say or if your crush liked your instagram photo. You’ll be more involved in that than you are into your work.
  5. If you have trouble in a certain subject and there is no assigned seating, take advantage of the front. I guarantee you’ll learn more.
  6. Ask your teacher what exactly you’ll need to know. If you’re taking notes during the year, write in the margins whether or not it will be tested. It will be easier to know what you will be tested on.
  7. Save your exams. Half the time your teachers use the same questions (or questions similar) from your exams on your midterms or finals.
  8. Don’t try to do homework straight afterschool if you can’t, despite what everyone says. Give yourself an hour, and try to get some exercise in. I find it stops me getting bored of sitting down. Not to mention helps me concentrate better.
  9. Don’t just read the material, write it, draw it, recite it, quiz yourself on it! Until you have the material down.
  10. Join clubs, sports, or organizations! You’re guaranteed to find friends in there. You’ll already have common interests. Start with that and go with the flow.
  11. College kids: If you don’t have assigned seating, and you have been sitting in the same seat for 2 weeks. That is you assigned seat now. Don’t move or you’ll screw everyone up and they will hate you.
  12. Color code things, such as your notes. If you want to see how I color code my notes message me and I’ll be happy to show you
  13. Be kind to one another.

I think that about does it. So yeah:)

Magical Alcohol in Harry Potter

After three years of only seeing wizards and witches and everyone in between only drinking firewhiskey or butterbeer, I’ve decided to make this guide/masterlist containing all of the Wizarding alcohol I could find online.

Ale

  • Fishy Green Aleis a Wizarding beverage whose ingredients included fish eggs. A known brand of Fishy Green Ale is Paulopabita’s.

Beer

  • Wizard’s Brew is a Wizarding brand of sweet stout sold in Wizarding pubs, such as the Leaky Caludron, the Fountain of Fair Fortune, and the Hopping Pot, all in Diagon Alley.
  • Dragon Scale is a Wizarding brand of ale that “starts out as an ale, winds up as a lager” sold in Wizarding pubs.
  • Hog’s Head Brew is a draught beer crafted and served at The Hog’s Head Inn in Hogsmeade.
  • Butterbeer is a Wizarding beverage described as tasting “a little bit like less-sickly butterscotch”. It is sold at numerous locations in the Wizarding World and has a very slight alcoholic content.
  • Simison Steaming Stout is a brand of dark beer which presumably emitted smoke. The label featured a picture of a steam engine.

Brandy

  • Dragon Barrel Brandy is a Wizarding brand of brandy in production since 1774. It is matured for 150 years.

Mead

  • Bungbarrel Spiced Mead is a brand of spiced mead produced by the Mina Meadery of Aynha from 1572 onward.
  • Knotgrass Mead is a brand of mead containing 23% alcohol. It is pressed and bottle by wildflower sprites at the Mystical Meaderie. It received the Magical Meads award.
  • Mulled Mead is a mead, served warm, produced by brewing a solution of honey and water, then flavouring it with spices and various fruits. It is sold at the Three Broomsticks and the Leaky Cauldron.

Rum

  • Red currant rum is a rum made from red currants. It is sold at the Three Broomsticks.

Whiskey

  • Beetle Berry Whiskey is a Wizarding brand of whiskey sold at the Leaky Cauldron. It is made from berries.

  • Pure Malt Whisky is a Wizarding brand of whiskey produced by Sir Tomkins % Co. This beverage was registered in Edinburgh. It is availble for purchase at the Leaky Cauldron.
  • Schletters Fine Whisky is a brand of whiskey produced and bottle in Scotland by Schletters Distillery. It is sold at the Hog’s Head.
  • Swott Malt Whisky is a Wizarding blend of the “finest highland whisky”, produced by Swotts & Swotts Scotch Distilleries. It is sold at the Leaky Cauldron.
  • White Rat Whisky is a brand of whiskey sold at the Hog’s Head. It is brewed in the cellars of the Warlocks of Zanzibar. The label says one of the ingredients is a “hint of the fires of the Norwegian Ridgeback.”

Firewhiskey

  • Blishen’s Firewhisky is a brand of premium Highaldn Scotch firewhiskey brewed by Blishen. It is aged for 39 years, and the label proclaims it is “the King of Whiskies.” It is sold at the Hog’s Head.
  • Ogden’s Old Firewhiskey is a brand of firewhiskey produced by Ogden.

Wine

  • Celery and Beetroot Wine is made of fermented celery and beetroot. Some fans of Gilderoy Lockhart’s brewed this wine at home.
  • Elderflower wine is a wine made from the flowers of the elder tree. One known manufacturer of this wine is Molly Weasley.
  • Elf-made wine is a wine brewed by house-elves.
  • Nettle wine is brewed from nettles and not poisnous. It is soft blue in colour.
  • Superior Red is a brand of red wine produced, distributed, and matured for a thousand years by the Malfoy Apothecary.
  • Turnip Wine is a wine made from fermented turnips rather than grapes. Brother Boniface is known for making this wine.
  • Berry Ocky Rot is a fruit wine containing 17% alcohol. It is made from berries and aged in oaken bungbarrels for a thousand years.

Others

Alcohol in the Wizarding World

  • Swott Malt Whisky was proofed by a Magics Hydrometer which presumably works the same as a Muggle alcoholometer. It it used to determine the proof of an alcoholic beverage.
  • Alcohol is regulated in magical society by the Department of Intoxicating Substances and licensed by the Licensing Wizengamot of Great Britain. Beverages with heavy alcohol are restricted to wizards that are of age.

GIF (Graphical Interchange Format) on tumblr come in three sizes. To prevent your GIF looking fuzzy/not animating/refusing to load you should stick to the size limits above. (2MB+ will not work.)

Most important is the width, height can be whatever you want up to a point. GIF that are next to each other must be the same height or tumblr will crop them. These widths and heights are also for JPG and PNG.
