Cherry-Creek

Hit the link to play my first game made with Twine, Cherry Creek. For those of you who are not familiar, Twine is a game making tool that focuses on text games, so that’s what this is. You can certainly make games with it that have all sorts of visuals and audio, but for my first time out, I stuck to the basics. It’s simple, but I’m proud of it.

It opens in your browser and won’t take you long to experience (10 minutes at the outside). Please at least make sure you get through the first 4-5 screens, so you can see what’s really going on. Thanks for giving it a spin, and let me know what you think!

IndieGames.com just published the above piece on my latest game, Cherry Creek! In addition to the game, there is an interview I did with Editor-in-Chief John Polson, and it goes into much more detail about the inspiration for the game and some of the imagery involved. If you haven’t played it yet, the second half of the piece gets pretty spoilerific, but there’s plenty of warning.

I’m beyond stoked to see a game of mine pop up on a site that I already frequent, so do me a solid and check it out at the link above if you have a minute!

Cherry Creek Sneak 5k: Recap

Chip Time: 36:02 (Pace: 11:37)

Overall: Top 50%

Gender: Top 45%

Division: Top 67%

I’m proud of myself! For the first 5k of the season, I’m very happy with the results. I was shooting for a 35’ finish, but that means I can just improve this next week at the Homerun for the Homeless 5k!

The weather held out, which I was extremely thankful for and I got tons of free swag.

If any professional pictures get posted with a special appearance by yours truly, I will post them :)
