Hi! It’s me again.
I decided to upload another progress photo, because I made it to 160, and my clothes were on in the last one, so yeah.

I feel so much better about myself, because working out and eating so much better this time around has made me see how capable I am of anything, and that’s so amazing to me.

I’ve been through a lot, when it comes to my body image and mental health, but I’m only improving, and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. In the photo on the left, I was 200 pounds. In the photo on the right, I’m 160.

So today is a one year anniversary for me, one year ago today I got serious about my fitness and health. I started eating right and exercising because a year of stress, horrible eating and drinking left me feeling very negatively about my body. One year ago I chose happiness and chose to start loving my body and taking care of myself. So I started with doing workout videos in my basement every day throughout the summer. Then when I got to school I started lifting heavy in the gym with my old track coach and started counting macros instead of calories. Then in March I made the decision to join the Crush Fam because you all are so supportive and fantastic and I trusted bbbenwilliamson and was convinced by aubernutter. Also some huge inspirations for me along the way have been brawnbrainybombshell, barbells-and-sirens, leahpwest, marisaaprice, fitnika, themarzipanvolta, thefitally, and hustleformuscle. I think I’ve asked you all a question at some point and every one of you has responded to me to the best of your ability and that means so much to me. I recently chose to cool it with the macro counting because one day I went out to eat at a restaurant and panicked a bit because I didn’t know exactly what I was eating. But I have made so many gains in muscle and mental health over my journey, I found because of working out and having this outlet I was a lot calmer and had less stress in my life from grad school. I still have so far to go but I’m loving the people I’m on this road with and I can’t wait to share more mile stones with you all!!


Finally found a ‘before’ skin photo!! This is nowhere near as bad as it got, but I don’t think I was really in front of the camera at all after this point because I was so self conscious of my acne. 

 On the left, pre-vegan. Eating what I thought was healthy, fruits and veg but also lots and lots of dairy and a some chickens/fish. I tried all kinds of cleansing products, fancy potions, antibiotics and hormonal controlling drugs. 

 On the right, 1.5 years plant based. High carb diet, loads of fruit, vegetables, water, oats, rice and happiness. I don’t wash my face at all except for the occasional coconut oil mask. 

The first photo was after wearing makeup for the day, the second is zero makeup at all and after a run. I have some acne scarring that is fading and will get the occasional pimple, but other than that it’s the clearest it’s ever been :)

I’ve suffered from eating disorders my whole life (Anorexia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder). I also have celiac (meaning I can’t eat gluten, and as a semi-related consequence I’m lactose intolerant as well.) Previously, I was replacing all the normal non-gluten free foods with the gluten free alternatives like cookies and bread! What people don’t realize is that when they take out the gluten, they add SUGAR! Sugar is an addiction and I kicked this habit. I also kicked my eating disorder habits, even though they occasionally start “whispering” to me telling me I’m not good enough.

The top pictures were taken this weekend as I was trying to find outfits to pack for my roadtrip. The before shots are from a wedding a year before I even started my weight loss journey. 

I eat clean.. about 2000cals to maintain my current weight, exercise 2-4 times a week, lift a few heavy things, and don’t sit on my bum for 10 hours a day behind a computer screen. 

When you begin treating your body well, you start feeling good about your body and good things happen! ♥ ♥

 Same weight in both pictures! My goal wasn’t to lose weight, just wanted to tone up and have more energy. I started going to the gym about 6 days a week and doing a lot of weight training. It took me about 8 months to see this progress. I’m really proud of the progression I have made :) consistency is key.

What is wrong with people today? **RANT**

So as most of my 6000+ followers know, I have a before and after picture set of my weight loss last year. It has almost reached 14,000 hits. I reblog it often to remind myself and others that it is possible to achieve your fitness goals. Especially now, as I gave birth 7.5 weeks ago to my beautiful and amazing daughter, and I need to get back into my clean eating and fitness regimen ( I gained 72 lbs… Yeah I had kinda let go during those almost 10 months I was pregnant ). I cannot exercise yet, as my doctor does not think it’s safe after the traumatic birth I had, and I still have stitches almost 2 months later. So these keep me from giving up on my healthy clean eating, since I can’t exercise right now.

So if you aren’t aware, there’s some other “fitblr” that is convinced that my after photos are “FAKE”, and has the AUDACITY to go around spreading them around calling them fake and un achievable .. Like are you kidding me? How pathetic, immature, and jaded do you have to be to do that to -as she calls me a “fellow fitblr”-.

Even AFTER I replied (and stuck up for myself) to what she wrote about it being fake, with MORE photos, to prove my body is NOT fake, she still insists on saying that even with the proof of my body pics, that the after pictures are still fake. Why? Because my FACE isn’t in them. Oh I’m sorry, but you have to have fairly bad eyesight, or resolution on your computer to think that’s not me.. Let me fire up my time machine guys!

I’m sorry, but you don’t treat your “fellow fitblrs” like that. What happened to the time when other tumblrs built each other up, and supported one another.

It’s like the bullies from middle school are back trying to hurt your feelings because something inside them hurts more.

If you can’t say anything nice, do not say anything at all.

Left was four years ago, but could accurately depict me around 8 months ago when I had ballooned to 177. Right was yesterday during core and back.

Here’s a quick progress pic. It’s definitely ‘before and during’ as I have a lot left to lose (as you can probably tell). I’ve lost almost 2 stone in 6 months, it’s not been as fast as I’d like but progress is progress and making these little comparison collages really spurs me on. I’d like to have lost a total of 50lb by my son’s first birthday (13th Nov) so I feel I’ll have to step up my game in order to achieve this. I’m hoping to lose 75-100lbs in all but I just figure I’ll know when I get there so I’m not committing to any figure in between there just yet.
