Today I completed day 1 of Focus T25. I am starting this 10 week intense workout program from BeachBody and posting here as a means of accountability. Today’s workout was difficult but I got through it. I also managed to drink 6 of the 8 glasses of water I was supposed to.

Today’s Shakeology was vanilla with almond milk and make syrup. Delicious!

Avocado, sun dried tomato and walnut salad

Vegetarian. Tasty. Colourofnutrients.

Ingredients

  • 3 sun dried tomatoes in oil
  • 1/3 avocado
  • 5 whole walnuts
  • mixed salad leaves
  • grated carrot
  • red pepper
  • tomato
  • balsamic glaze
  • hot paprika
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Method

Thoroughly clean and prepare salad ingredients. Make them look pretty on your plate and flavor with dressing ingredients. Easy peasy.

5-a-day

5 a day is an initiative to move people towards eating a healthy and balanced diet. By including 5 fruit and veggies a day you are ensuring that you are getting a majority of the nutrients you need on a daily basis. It is a very possible target to reach for any age group. 1 portion is equal to the size of your clenched fist.

5 A Day Challenge

Have you ever done spring cleaning? Or tried to get rid of all your unnecessary stuff before the New Year?

How about getting rid of five items a day? For an entire month.

Instead of doing a big purge of everything you own, you can make it more manageable by disposing of, donating or selling five things per day for an entire month. Think of it as therapy. Each day that goes by, the less and less attached to materialistic goods you will become. Now I know what you’re thinking..


5 x 31 = 155

That’s a lot of stuff!

But trust me. By the end of this, you’ll not only have a lighter closet, you’ll have a lighter soul.
