Off the tail end of this ‘dashcon’ debacle, remind me again how great of a community tumblr has? and how they’re not ‘hurting anybody’?
In terms of the ‘4chan vs tumblr’ thing, when 4chan meets up, it leads to things like the Occupy movement and Peaceful political protests. When tumblr meets up they harrass helpless employees and act like children, they spit into a bucket in a crowded restaurant when people are trying to eat - and then drink it, and lack the common sense to not get conned out of their money. Not to mention they hold panels on sexualization in media right after panels about ‘sexy british men with cheekbones’. You have countless panels romanticizing and fetishistic pandering of homosexuals and then you dare to have a panel about LGBT rights?
It’s embarrassing, it’s idiotic, and frankly it’s what everyone has come to expect from this infantile tumblr community. Hopefully people start to wake up and realize what a vapid black hole for creativity and intellectual discussion this place has become.
Probably not though, since i didn’t think to cover this post in fucking memes or craft it in comic sans, if “The language of tumblr” panel is anything to go by. Barf.
