Holy eff, this c.‘73 Rickenbacker 4001 is the lightest, most strident-sounding Ric Bass I’ve ever played. Worn-in, perfectly set up and with a potent sound, I can’t imagine this one’s going to last long. For sale soon! OMG indeed… #guitar #bass #vintage #rickenbacker #4001 #seattle #vintageguitar (at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar)

More fun at The Twelfth Fret in Toronto:

  1. Vintage Danelectro
  2. Lefty Ric 4000-and-something bass.  This must be very rare…regular Rics are hard to find, let alone lefties!
  3. Two American Deluxe Thinline Telecasters - Loympic white and natural.  Natural looks so great on ash.
  4. Can’t remeber what this bass was - maybe a Music Man??  Anyway - I like it.
  5. Bass lust!
  6. A couple of FSR Stratocasters.  Hard to see here, but the sunburst it actually done with metallic paint.  Interesting twist of a traditional favourite!  ;)
  7. Crazy vintage Hagstrom.  Sometimes things are so ugly that they actually look cool.
  8. Candy apple looks great on a Tele.  I Prefer a maple neck with this colour, but what the fu…um…fudge.
  9. Bear sighting in downtown Toronto!
  10. Rickenbacker 360/12
