Ha, so, exactly 7 months ago I self-published my first ever zine. This was a big step in my life because I spent a large amount of time and money on something which could quite possibly backfire on me. Fortunately, it turned out really well and it filled me with a strong sense of optimism for the future. It was super cool to have so many people be interested in what I had to say about life and I loved having the job of filling out orders and giving people something they wanted.

I’ve since sold over 300 copies out of the 400 I originally ambitiously printed and I’ve now set-up a downloadable version which is free (a donation would be very cute though). I’m hoping this will give those who couldn’t afford it or the international postage prices a chance to read it. I recommend giving it a read because it’s 40 pages of good vibes and even includes a positive wordsearch!

If you download and read it then please let me know what you thought of it. I’m currently working on another one based on my recent 1000 mile solo bike ride from one end of the UK to the other so any tips would be very helpful!

DIY Vampire Nails from Not Quite Nigella. I have no idea if this works but if it does it’s awesome. From Not Quite Nigella (and check out her spectacular True Blood Dinner Party):

So to make your very own vampire fangs … you take a pair of false nails - I found the smallest size was the closest width to my canine teeth. You then file them down using a nail file to a point which was surprisingly easy (although caution: you may ruin your own manicure doing this) and then glue them to your canine teeth using the denture glue!

Mod Anya here! With all this talk about outdoor vs indoor cats, I decided to put together a masterlist of outdoor enclosures for your cats. This is a great way to let your cat experience the outdoors safely!

Oh hey look! That other sweater is finally finished! I also managed to put together an intarsia chart and a pattern for it, so all you knitters who so desire can have a go at it.

Also the very sweater you see here will be listed on my Ebay this Sunday, August 31st, at noon EST. I’m listing it there vs. Etsy ‘cause I have no clue how to price things like this :( But I really need to find a way to offset the ever-growing cost of cosplay. So… yeah… sorry for the shameless self promotion… I just, need more worbla…

Hi!! Do you have any reccs for body scrubs? I've tried loofas but they never seem to get rid of all the dead skin cells.

Hello! I like the Malin + Goetz Peppermint Body Scrub, though I’m currently using the Darphin one and it’s pretty sweet but nothing to truly write home about. I’ve tried and loved Kiehl’s body scrub as well. But body scrub is something you can easily DIY at home! Here’s a recipe. The organic ones like Fresh — you can totally make those at home.
