I know most of you don’t care, but hey, i’ll try anyway.
Shorter version: should i pick the vet or the video game designer(animator) course?
(Could you guys be so kind and post an ask or reblog with your choice? and possibly signal boost this ? I’m really lost, this is so important .-.)
————-long version (if you care enough to read this ily so much)————
Basically i used to want to go into veterinary (healing animals) but i’ve felt iffy about it for the past few years or so seeing as i’m scared of the idea of being responsible of something’s life and failing to rescue them because of my.. idk.. cluelessness.. that and the fear of surgery/blood/seeing pain
Anyway, i’ve always had a passion for drawing so i thought, why not have a job be something i enjoy doing as well as something that’ll bring a decent amount of money into the house. So i thought of game design. (I’m good at math too which is a great start for someone heading into the IT industry)
Here’s the problem, though. At my school the last two years are called the ‘Leaving Cert’ where you have 4 core subjects(compulsory) and can choose 3 more. I need Chemistry and Biology to get into the vet course, and even then there’s a slim chance i’ll get in since it’s super hard with the expectations of grades and all… I don’t need anything in particular for the game design course, just more-than-decent grades.
The thing is, i don’t want to blow my chances of getting into either of these… What if one day i wake up and decide i want to be a chemistry researcher, but i’ve chosen another subject over the one i needed so my life is ruined..
So i thought i’d continue doing art for the LC since it would help a lot with developing my drawing skills for the portfolio that i have to send in with my application to the IT course (drawings, sketches, paintings, etc). But the thing is, there is only one art class and that art class happens to be on at the same time as the Chemistry one. Shit. Thers’s no other Chemistry class and it’s absolutely necessary for the vet course.
If you’ve read this far, you’re honestly the best human being ever *virtual hug* thank-ooo!
