Today was a good day. I’m still pretty homesick but it’s way easier to deal with when I’m out doing things. I just can’t wait to start making this place mine. I can’t wait to start travelling and seeing everything. And I can’t wait till everyone comes to visit.

So this came up on my FB feed. He’s a family friend and I know that they are super Christian, but FUCK this pisses me off. I consider myself Christian but I would NEVER EVER tell anyone that they’re not allowed to marry the person they love, regardless of sex/gender. Do NOT act like you are defending some noble cause. Because what you are preaching is anything but. How is that kind of judgement and blatant hatred resembling any sort of Christian teachings of love and acceptance? Fuck this shit, I am so done with it.

69. I am legit confused. I think I must’ve realised I need to start making new friends, cos of the ones that are in the country the only one I try see is Josh. And even that only ends up being once a fortnight. So I went to the Queer Collective drinks tonight, and met all these new people which was really cool. I think the best part was that I met gay people who were like my straight friends. A lot of the gay people I know are pretty crazy (I still love them, obviously), but sometimes it’s confusing for me to work out where I fit in. I also think the fact that they’re from the same area as me helped me relate to them a bit more.
But anyway. I’m really proud of myself for walking up to a group of 40 or so people in which I knew nobody and talking to people. I used to not be able to do that sort of thing unless I’d had a drink or two before hand (I remember this one party I went to, I had to sit in the car and scull 2 drinks before I could go inside). So yay for not relying on alcohol anymore!
Um so yes I made some cool new friends. So uni is actually getting a bit less shit. Although starting at 8am and having classes all the way through from 12 to 6pm has killed me, so I’m looking forward to 8 lovely hours of sleep

62. Worked a few things out and I feel better. Then I got to hang out with Gabby’s family and we skyped her :) She’s really pretty!
I also made 2 friends at uni! There was this guy whose been in a few of my classes and I’ve been determined to befriend him cos he’s shy so didn’t seem intimidating. And he’s nice, so we’ll probs be besties.
Now after 5 hours sleep, 10 hours of uni and a game of indoor soccer I’m exhausted. Sleep yum.
