We received an early wedding gift from one of Tiffany’s friends who gave it also as a departing gift, since she is moving to another country.
This camera was her first camera, (she is now a professional photographer), it was bought in Germany 18 years ago. Still works too. She gave us a few lenses for it and lots of unexposed film. Pretty cool. Will put it to use when I get back to Barbados.

Reflections on Easter
Good Friday is a bit of a buzz-kill. I don’t like to think about death. Most of us don’t I would guess. It’s the inevitable shadow at the end of the tunnel we would like to put off as long as possible and keep as far out of mind as possible.
The original good Friday must have been a super-buzz-kill for the original followers of Jesus. Their hopes and expectations of deliverance from the long years of oppression and exile and the fulfillment of all the “at lasts” promised in the prophets gone in one afternoon. The one on whom these hopes rested dead. The story wasn’t supposed to end this way.
Saturday probably wasn’t such a great day either.
But then Sunday…
