My Engagement Ring

This blog seriously is amazing. I actually can't believe I found it. Thank you for doing this. It's almost like a taboo and when people talk about it, they're shaming people with herpes. So, this is really helping me. I got genital HSV1 when my bf decided to do oral on me with a cold sore (I don't like oral, so I was pissed when he tried it and then knowing he had the cold sore coming on, did it anyway). I have bitterness from how I got it but I'm not bitter about having it. Thanks again.
Thank YOU! Oh I’d be PISSED! Your bitterness is definitely understandable, especially with the differing stigma of oral HSV versus genital HSV. It’s stupid. I’m really glad your bitterness doesn’t transcend to you having in general though.
STA stigma in general pisses me off, mostly because it’s full of ignorance and self-righteousness. People without an STA are no better than me, nor am I any better than them. We’re all just trying to live life the best way we see fit. As long as it’s not hurting anyone else, then my STA status shouldn’t matter to anyone but my doctor, my partner and me. Period. Not only that, but it’s noone else’s business. People are so quick to stick their nose where it doesn’t belong, especially if they can judge and feel better about themselves by putting someone else down.
