ID&P Project #1: 5 Obstructions

I had to bring in my favorite piece of work that I made in the last two years, I ended up picking my Thai Protest thread paintings, and get into groups and discuss how we were going to recreate this piece in three hours with 5 obstructions. Mine were, make it smaller, use organic material, make it about me, use a different color pallet, and use one line. So this ended up being a reductive thread painting using organic muslin, silver tissue lame’, cotton thread, tracing paper and dye. Took me a little over three hours but it was neat incorporating what I have been wanting to try for a class. I can’t say its my favorite portrait but I love the materials I used.
