Its funny how one day you can wake up and realize that everything you want in life has changed overnight… I keep looking at pictures of weddings and babies and wanting that so bad in my life.
Am I crazy? Absolutely. I’m still relatively young yet I feel so ready to settle down and find the man of my dreams. I picture my future; a cute house in a small town with my loving husband and the sound of little feet running around. I want that so bad…
I know I’m young but my partying days are behind me, I know what it feels like to drink till I can’t stand, to dance till I can’t feel my legs anymore; but what’s that worth? I want something real, a lover that will stand by my side for eternity, a baby to hold and protect against all the evils of this world. I want to make a home out of a house.
People would think it’s crazy, but why? What’s so crazy about wanting to have a family, about wanting to commit to something real? They say that I have to accomplish all my goals before settling but no one seems to realize that it doesn’t have to be one or the other. Building a family doesn’t have to wait until you’ve accomplished all your goals and just because you start a family doesn’t mean that all your goals die. What if building a life with a husband and children is important to you, what then?
To each their own. I never thought that this is what I’d want in life and who knows, in a week I may be back to my old ways of never wanting to marry and have kids but today, it’s something I hold real close to my heart.
