I walk to my kitchen to get water and I see a small head with white hair under my kitchen window. 

My neighbor child is sitting close to my car on a rock, whispering. Since this is the kid that seems to cast spells around the neighborhood I am a bit cautious when I go to see what is going on.

She is holding a small puppy in her arms. The poor dog’s ribs are visible. She tells me how she found it almost dead when it was very very small (“it almost fit in my two hands so small”) and every other day she would go to the place with food for the dog.

It followed her home yesterday, and her parents don’t want pets under any circumstance so she shooed the dog away but it came back.

She looked me straight in the eyes, with her white hair blowing all around her face, and said:

“I know you are a good person. Can it stay in your garden and we feed him? Look he is hungry and very thin. I came to you because I know you won’t let it die.”

I asked her what his name was she said, no no. I can’t name him. If I name him it’s mine. I can give you suggestions if you want. Then you name him.

When I wanted to take a picture of her and the dog, she jumped up and said: NO. I don’t want any evidence…..

and off she went.

This kid is beyond special.
