You know what annoys me? People who think that me and my FRATERNAL twin sister, Leah, look alike. But the one thing that annoys me the most, is people who can’t tell Leah and I apart no matter how long they’ve known us.
For instance, my gym teacher, Mr. Gangstad. My sister and I had the same gym class this semester. One day when Leah was sick, Mr Gangstad was taking attendance and came across me and my sister’s empty spot. Here’s how our conversation went:
Gangstad- Are you Leah?
Me- No, I’m Annah.
Gangstad- Okay, so I’m marking Annah absent?
Me- Um no, I’m Annah.
Gangstad- Okay, so I’m marking Leah absent?
Me- Yeah.
Gangstad- Oh! Your name’s written right there on your shirt!
Yeah. Annoying isn’t it? The thing is, Leah and I look NOTHING alike. For those who don’t know, fraternal twins means “twins, not necessarily resembling each other, or of the same sex, that develop from two separately fertilized ova.” Gotten straight from dictionary.com. It just makes me sad how completely unobservant people can be. I can only imagine how it is for identical twins.

Anonymity
I find it interesting how being anonymous can change someone’s personality completely. Someone can be the nicest person in the world, but when given the choice to ask an anonymous question to someone, they could ask the most awful, vulgar question imaginable.
As some of you may have already figured out, I made it so people can ask me questions or comment about my blog. I also made it so people can make the choice to keep the question or comment anonymous or not. Why make it so people can be secretive? Well, I’ve realized that peoples’ true colors come out when given the choice to be anonymous. People can be completely rude and well, realistic with what they say to me.
The thing is, I’ve also realized from having a Formspring as well, that people can be completely immature and say things that aren’t necessary at all. Yes, it can be funny sometimes, but after a while the immaturity can get really old. I appreciate honest questions or comments. But when they get to be like “Oh Annah, you’re so ugly. Your sister is the better looking twin.” those are the kind of things that make me draw the line. I honestly don’t care if that’s your opinion about me. I’m just saying, we’re all old enough by now to know what to say and what not to say. Don’t abuse the power of being anonymous. I know you may think it’s funny, it probably is even, but I just think it’s immature and people who say that need to learn to grow up a little. So with that, if I have any comments about how I look or about my personal life, I’m not going to answer them. Being anonymous doesn’t give you the power to be a bully.
