Enough
One aspect of my job involves being tuned into and monitoring a multitude of channels simultaneously.
Tech Blogs; Facebook; Twitter; Pinterest; Photography Blogs; Tumblr; Instagram; Mom blogs; Kick-ass Personal Blogs. You get the idea.
A lot of what I see, hear and read on the internet can be categorized as noise, hype and/or speculation. That’s to be expected, it’s the internet.
The problem? I have refined my selection of people and publications to follow and the whittled down group is comprised of genuinely impressive and inspiring people.
While I’m staying on top of what’s happening, I’m also quietly being blown away by what so many people are doing in so many different corners of the world. I’m in awe.
The result of this daily barrage of inspirational and innovative content, is that I literally never feel like I’m doing enough with my life. It’s a problem I’ve had since childhood, but when I was a kid, (before the internet) my pool of people to compete with was tiny.
It’s not all bad though. Keeps me on my toes and helps me decide how to best spend my time. I just hope to someday be at peace with all the amazing things happening in the world instead of being embarrassed by the fact that I didn’t come up with the idea first.

Proof that my mother-in-law is cooler than yours: iPhone fisheye lens. Also, this is the bathroom window at work. #birfdaygift (Taken with Instagram at Snapjoy HQ)
